Today we’d like to introduce you to Jodi Kanter.
Hi Jodi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started going to college for art and specialized in woven art works. After having a career nationally creating artworks for public and private spaces, I began a new career as the director of a non-profit music organization that I created to help classically trained musicians who were beginning their careers with performing opportunities. That was 15 years ago, and I am still running this organization now.
It is called M.U.S.I.C. – Stars in the Classics
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Having gone to art school and having no business training or music training, I am still learning on the job
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m most proud of starting a non-profit arts organization that is in its 15th year of existence.
How do you think about luck?
It’s more about seizing opportunities when they arise
