Erica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, I’m Erica Flint, the owner of Mirror Mirror Salon and Bridal LLC, based in Willoughby, Ohio. With over 20 years in the beauty industry, I specialize in bridal hair and makeup and lead a traveling team dedicated to making brides and their parties look and feel extraordinary on their special day. My work has been featured at red carpet events such as the Grammys and the Oscars, and I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with major brands like Milani Cosmetics, with my work also featured in Sephora and Walmart.
My passion for beauty began as a young girl, but my first love was singing. This passion took me to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, where I pursued both singing and a career in makeup and hair. Although singing had to take a back burner after I became a mother in 2014, I did release a single called “Baby I Know” on iTunes, which was a special project for me. During this time, I focused on building a successful career in hair and makeup, allowing me to continue pursuing my passion while supporting my family.
Relocating my family to Ohio due to the pandemic was an incredibly challenging experience. California businesses had shut down, which forced us to make the move and start over in a new city where I didn’t know anyone. Building my business from the ground up amidst social isolation and restrictions was far from easy. If there’s one piece of advice I can offer, it’s to avoid moving during such unprecedented times if possible.
Despite these challenges, opening Mirror Mirror Salon and Bridal has been a dream come true. Our luxurious salon features a private bridal suite with expansive windows and a serene environment, perfect for brides and their parties to prepare for their special day. Located in downtown Willoughby, the salon also includes a hidden gym for added convenience.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to launch my own eyelash brand, Mirror Mirror Lashes, and to open Mirror Mirror Makeup Academy in January 2025. With my dedicated team of nine, I’m committed to bringing my passion and expertise to every client I serve.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running a bridal business is certainly not for the faint of heart. This year has been a steep learning curve, teaching you valuable lessons in resilience, adaptability, and management. Every challenge and struggle is part of the journey, helping you refine your approach and strengthen your business. Your commitment and hard work through these trials are crucial to not only surviving but thriving in the demanding bridal industry.

I’d be happy to share more about my work! I’m a bridal hair and makeup artist with over 20 years of experience. I specialize in providing luxurious, personalized beauty services for brides, ensuring they look and feel their best on their special day. My work includes everything from Hollywood red carpet events and magazine shoots to traveling across the country to offer tailored bridal beauty experiences.
I’m known for my meticulous attention to detail and my ability to adapt quickly to different environments and client needs. What sets me apart is not only my extensive experience but also my commitment to exceptional customer service. I believe that this level of personalized care is often lacking in the industry, and I strive to make every bride feel truly valued and well-cared-for.
I’m most proud of opening my own salon. It represents the culmination of my passion and dedication to the beauty industry, and it allows me to provide a unique and tailored experience for my clients. My journey has provided me with a unique perspective and a deep passion for my craft, which I bring to every bridal experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My happiness comes from making my clients feel the most beautiful they’ve ever felt on their wedding day. Seeing their joy and satisfaction is incredibly fulfilling. I also find great joy in my alone time and vacations with my family, where I can relax and recharge. Balancing responsibilities can sometimes make it challenging to fully embrace these moments, but I am very grateful and truly happy with my life now.
