Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Johnson.
Hi Dominique, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Well, I was born in Ohio but raised in South Carolina. I was adopted at the age of 9 along with my 3 sisters to an older couple. They would always keep us in church and that is where my love of music originated. I went from a cover singer to a songwriter/artist.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I had a lot of trouble trying to find out who I was after I got adopted. I was born a Pyfrom and I was now a Johnson. But thru music, I was able to find my voice and identity.

I am a songwriter/Singer/Artist/Rapper. I would say I’m most proud of my hunger to get better at my craft. I believe that is what sets me apart from others. I have a hunger to be the best so I push myself harder than most.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important message I learned is you can’t rush perfection. I used to be so eager just to put songs out that they weren’t always the best recorded.
