Today we’d like to introduce you to De’mani Moore
Hi De’Mani, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started making music, specifically beat production when I was around 15 years old in high school. Initially it started off as something that was fun and just a hobby. I would write things but I felt like i was too young to really write what I wanted to write so I just stayed making beats. Fast forward to the end of 2019, in a much older perspective i was finally able to get a grasp of what to write about due to actual experiences and emotions that I’ve been through and felt. Due to finally showing off stuff that I’ve made to close friends and family, that made me realize that I can do something with this and I started taking it serious. That was the birth of PeaceofMND and from that point on, I’ve been releasing consistently on all music platforms.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been definitely been challenges, mostly in the beginning stages. The reason why is because I’ve always been a to myself or always in the background, quiet type of person. So it was hard to perform in front of a bunch of people without feeling nervous. But the more I perform, it helps the comfort level and confidence of myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a rapper/producer. But not only that, I also do visual art as well. I graduated from an art school in 2020. The visual art consist of editing visualizers for myself and others, digital collaging, graphic design, animation etc. I like to learn new skills to help create a world for PeaceofMND.
What are your plans for the future?
Eventually in the future I want to make a multi-media production company. I also want to perform more the more I realize I’m having fun with it. Also as well I want to showcase visual art in an exhibition. Mostly just looking for many open doors to get into.
