

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyla Robinson
Hi Cheyla, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my health journey in 2018, I stepped eating meat and dairy altogether after the birth of my son, and then from there in 2020, I just took a leap of faith and began to sell vegan dinners to my community. And I didn’t just stop there, I also have a herbal business where I sell loose leaf teas, herbal roots, oils, capsules, and also sage and smudge sticks. My family and I moved to Florida in 2021 because we wanted changed, I actually sold a few vegan dinners when I lived in Florida as well. However, our journey in Florida was short lived. We ended up moving back to Cleveland, unexpectedly. At this point, I was pregnant again with my second son, and I needed income quick, to figure things out so I went back to work, however I had this external calling for me to quit my job and get back to what it is that I love. I trusted that calling and here I am, back healing my community through my food. We not only offer health and nutrition, we offer all the same great tastes and flavors so you aren’t missing the unhealthy food as much. I only extend to move forward from here and I am striving to have my own health food restaurant in the very near future, with time, consistency and dedication.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not always been smooth, as I stated on the question before this, I have endured a few trails and tribulations on this journey, however everything has been well worth it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an overall healer. I am seeking to heal my community through natural remedies straight from Mother Earth herself. I am huge on incorporating herbs into my dishes because of their amazing healing properties. I am big on teas, juices and smoothies as well. I specialize in all areas of healing. I am a yoga instructor, there I am able to help others heal through movement, meditation and breathing properly. I am an herbalist (not certified yet, please check with your doctors before trying any of my products or do your own research). I really just enjoy overall wellness.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I’ve read plenty of books on my journey, a few from Dr.Llaila Afrika, Queen Afua, and many others who promote, health and wellness.
