Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste Davia
Celeste, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Growing up I absolutely loved taking photos of myself and my friends and using social media. When I dropped out of college amidst the pandemic I felt a little lost with what I wanted to do with my life. I was given a starter camera to borrow to see if photography was something I would be interested in doing professionally. I fell in love with it and then dedicated all of my free time to learning the ins and outs of photography and how to be a photographer. Now, three years later and this hobby has turned into my full-time job and career. I have captured so many weddings, once in a lifetime moments like proposals, and also have been able to extend my services from Ohio to all over the country for my clients who are interested in opting for the micro-wedding or elopement route!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
All in all it has been a decently smooth road to get to where I am at today and I am forever grateful for that. I have some of the most loyal and supportive clientele and I owe my entire career to them! However, being a small business owner in itself is a lot of hard work and is definitely a learning curve.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a professional photographer who specializes in couples and weddings as well as families and lifestyle photos. I’m probably most known for being a photographer that travels all over the country but also I do consider Ohio to be my home-base! I’m most proud of being a woman-owned small business and the dedication I offer my clients! I believe what sets me apart from others is the fact that I do offer my services to not only just Ohio and how flexible I can be! More and more couples have opted out of having the big traditional wedding and have gone the smaller micro-wedding and elopement route! Being able to help them plan, offer suggestions, and also travel with my clients is something I believe stands out, while also offering traditional wedding packages as well!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
When everything shut down due to COVID-19 I found myself feeling very lost like most people did. I made the decision to dropout of college due to struggling to learn online. Thankfully, this is the time period I found photography! I don’t believe I would have ever taken this leap of faith without living through the pandemic!
