Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My artistic journey began in childhood with a fascination for jewelry making, which evolved into a passion for exploring the diverse realm of mixed media. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount St. Joseph University and actively exhibit my work at art shows and galleries throughout the Cincinnati tri-state area.
I believe art has the power to profoundly impact the world. My goal is to create work that resonates deeply, stirring emotions and sparking introspection. I consider art to be my voice, constantly evolving and reflecting my personal growth.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Following graduation, I encountered a period of creative doubt, questioning my abilities as an artist. During this time, yoga became a significant part of my life, offering profound insights and a renewed perspective. Through inner work and my yoga practice, I rediscovered my artistic passion and reignited my creative fire. Driven by a desire to share my work with the world, I gradually re-entered the art scene. Within a year, I achieved a lifelong dream by exhibiting at the Pendleton Art Center. My art reflects this journey of self-discovery and serves as a testament to the power of believing in yourself and finding inspiration in unexpected places.

I’m a mixed-media artist passionate about creating vibrant, whimsical works with lots of glitter! I specialize in exploring the interplay between drawing, painting, glass, jewelry, and textiles.
I’m most proud of my courage to consistently put myself out there, sharing my authentic artistic vision with the world. My art is a deeply personal expression, reflecting my soul’s journey, both the beautiful and the challenging aspects. I embrace the fluidity of my creative process, often allowing the work to organically emerge without strict adherence to a preconceived plan. This intuitive approach, while sometimes defying logic, results in unique and fascinating creations.
My work draws inspiration from Surrealism and Impressionism, particularly the use of rich, bold, vibrant colors and the evocation of dreamlike landscapes.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
The Covid-19 crisis profoundly reinforced the importance of compassion and acceptance. We all navigate challenges differently, and it’s crucial to acknowledge and honor those diverse experiences. Ultimately, we can only control our present actions. Dwelling on the past or worrying excessively about the future only fuels stress and anxiety. While easier said than done, I strive to cultivate a mindset of gratitude and focus on the positive aspects of every situation, even amidst adversity.
