Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Kashi Jayy of Toledo

We recently had the chance to connect with Kashi Jayy and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Kashi, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day starts with a nice spliff to get my thoughts together. I might do some plant care in my sunroom or listen to beats and write something vibey. Or read some of my book that I’m tuned into at the moment. All depends on what side of the bed I wake up on.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Kashi Jayy also known as Kashi Kruegerr. I’m from the home of the Mud Hens; Toledo, OH. Born and raised. I make music, do tattoos, paint, and a little bit of comedy. I started my brand “Been clocked In” recently as a phrase for always being busy doing something productive. What makes me unique is my “never give up” attitude. When push comes to shove I always make a way for me and mines. Right now I’m working on my clothing brand restart and more music for my 2025 releases. Been clocked in.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship with my wife. Being together since literal teens we was forced to grow up very fast. Having to adapt while taking care of two boys challenged our relationship. But nothing is perfect every challenge throne at us made us better people for the better good.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Live some life.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is not the real me lol. I feel like I’m more outgoing around people than I am with myself. I be in my head a lot so I ruin my own fun. I would definitely hang out with the public version of me.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I will always regret not going all the way with everything early in life when I had the opportunities. I regret not running full speed through doors that were open for me; but you live and learn. New chapters and lessons aced.
