Jayden (JP) Price shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Jayden (JP), really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Right now, I’m in a season of building, laying the groundwork for what’s next. I’m working on improving every part of my life: my work, my health, my brand, and my finances. Just being very intentional, making better choices, and trusting that the small sacrifices I’m making now will lead to something greater. God’s guiding the process, and I truly believe that in a few years, I’ll be in a place where I can live with more freedom.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a creative producer based in Columbus, Ohio, working in film production and film photography. I’ve been in the game for about three years now. Started off as a PA and just kept saying yes to opportunities, learning as I went. Over time, I started noticing where things could run smoother and just kind of jumped in to help. That eventually led me into producing, and now I get to be more hands-on with bringing projects to life.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with God has completely transformed how I see myself. There was a time when I didn’t really know who I was or what my purpose was. It wasn’t until I truly leaned into my faith and started seeking the Kingdom that things began to make sense—and from there, everything slowly started to fall into place. I had to come to the realization that without Him, I am nothing. My life has no real meaning apart from God. Everything I am, everything I have, and everything I’m becoming is because of His grace.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
I used to get held back a lot by the fear of things not being perfect. There was a time when if a project didn’t feel just right, I didn’t even want to put it out there. But I had to learn that if everything was perfect, what’s the point? Nothing really is. You’ll always find stuff you don’t love, but what feels imperfect to me might be exactly what someone else needs. Once I got that, I felt way freer to just create and share.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely — the way people see me in public is exactly how I am when no one’s around. I’m not about pretending or changing who I am just to fit in. God made me the way I am for a reason, and I’m not trying to be anyone else. My mom always told me to be myself and to lead with confidence. You shouldn’t have to change for anyone or anything, ever. Staying authentic has been key to how I live my life and approach everything I do.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
I can absolutely give everything my best and not get any praise—and honestly, that’s been my experience so far. But I’m not doing this for recognition—I’m doing it to give praise. Everything I do is in Jesus’ name, and I’m walking in the authority He’s given me. I don’t need anyone to acknowledge me for being on my path—I’m just focused on doing what God has called me to do.
