Hi Tim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Timothy Alley and I am the owner of two shop smokes in the eastern Ohio Valley, Bellaire and Steubenville, and a third in Winchester, Virginia. Peace Pipes smoke supplies offer various pipes, clothing, CBD & legal THC products, drug test solutions & more. The Bellaire location was the first to open on April 20th, 2018. I moved to Ohio from Virginia in 2009 due to Ohio’s laid-back Marijuana laws. I worked as an independent computer repairman and I have owned other small businesses in my life. In November of 2017, I signed a gas rights lease that gave me enough money to start the first Peace Pipes store. The success of the Bellaire location allowed me to open a second store in downtown Steubenville, Ohio on June 6, 2020. In February of 2022, I moved back to my hometown of Winchester, VA, and opened a third store because Virginia now has better laws (recreational) than Ohio. I maintain my home and businesses in Ohio and travel regularly between the two towns.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Challenges I have endured in the past with this business include unreliable employees, thieving customers, and Covid-19 restrictions.

Peace Pipes has 3 locations and is in the process of franchising its brand nationwide. We believe that Cannabis products are an all-natural health alternative that can provide pain relief and many other physical and mental benefits. Our friendly staff is very well educated in all Marijuana-related topics and they’re easily able to guide customers to the desired products.
What’s next?
Peace Pipes has 3 locations and is in the process of franchising its brand nationwide. We are currently working with a large-scale Franchising agency to facilitate this growth. Any states that have legalized recreational Cannabis use are target areas. The goal is to upgrade every location to a full recreational Marijuana Dispensary while still including our smoke shop inventory. Future plans include a smoking lounge in every location for legal public consumption.
