Inspiring Conversations with Suinda Machuca of Her Clear Path, Clear Path Notary, and My Path My Purpose Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Suinda Machuca

Hi Suinda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m an entrepreneur who’s all about serving diverse communities, with a special love for humanity and individual empowerment. My background in Entrepreneurship and Business Operations has really helped me uplift both individuals and businesses. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Cleveland State University, an Associate’s degree in International Business Management from Cuyahoga Community College, and a Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University in 2021.

I jumped into the real estate world in 2015 by buying my first rental property and then opened my first business, Clear Path Housing LLC, in 2017. By 2020, I left my full-time corporate management job to dive headfirst into my entrepreneurial journey, launching Clear Path Notary, which specializes in real estate transactions and services. In 2021, I added My Path My Purpose Company to my ventures, offering officiant and celebrant services for various occasions. This move really helped sharpen my passion for the hispanic community and cultural celebrations. Although I don’t advertise it much, I provide operations and administrative support and business consulting for entrepreneurs needing help with their businesses. I share my entrepreneurship journey and daily life on social media through Her Clear Path.

I’m especially dedicated to helping the Hispanic community, who often face language barriers during important moments like getting married or buying a home. I’m also passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, which still faces a lot of challenges and discrimination when it comes to marriage.

On top of my business efforts, I’m active in the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and volunteer with organizations that serve the Hispanic community. I also help plan Cleveland’s Puerto Rican Expo Festival and Parade, using my skills and passion to enrich the cultural scene in my community.

Looking ahead, I want to write books that guide couples through their engagement, focusing on building strong foundations for lifelong marriages. I’m also planning to write self-help books on entrepreneurship, self-discovery, and achieving success. Through these books, I hope to share my commitment to helping others navigate and succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has absolutely not been a smooth road but I wouldn’t ever call it a struggle. I feel extremely blessed to be experiencing growth every year I’ve been in business. The reason why I wouldn’t label any of the bumps in the road as struggles is because my attitude towards entrepreneurship has been, “I can do this,” and, “I can do that,” and, “I can, I can, I can…” I believe we are all capable of everything we want to accomplish, and all the bumps in the road were lessons that taught me something valuable that I could use to better myself or my service offerings.

Before I quit my full-time job in 2020 to pursue my business endeavors, I accepted a job offer (the last corporate job I’d ever have) despite my desire to focus on my business full-time. Fear led me to derail my own success by spending 15 months at a job I should never have taken. That year was filled with more obstacles than all the years I’ve spent building my businesses. Want to talk about struggles? Ha, that year I struggled. From car troubles, to a being in and out of court over a stalker and a misguided tenant, being over worked and, my coworkers scheming behind my back to get me into trouble… I had a beautiful glass office on the 21st floor overlooking the lake and I would sit in that office and cry.

I couldn’t enjoy the view, I couldn’t even enjoy the money I was making because of all the bad things that happened. I once made a list and counted 14 bad events during my time at that job. It felt like God was telling me, “You aren’t supposed to be there.”

By that time, I had a very supportive partner, I was earning enough passive income from my rental property, along with extra money from my PRN (as needed) job, to pursue my business full-time without worrying about how my bills would be paid. I had the support, the “can do” attitude, the skills to be successful, and I took action. The years I spent working in customer service, client relations, and management gave me a leg up on others who didn’t have the soft skills or know how to provide quality service with impeccable communication.

So I would say the biggest challenged I experienced was not going after the desires of my heart. I let fear pull me back into a corporate job when I knew my time had come to pursue my entrepreneurial endeavors.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Her Clear Path, Clear Path Notary, and My Path My Purpose Company?

One thing that really sets me apart from those who aspire to be entrepreneurs but haven’t taken the plunge yet is my willingness to take action. My advice to anyone is to just do it—do it scared, do it messy, just do it. Taking that first step is what truly makes the difference.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson for me is 2 fold:

1. I’ve learned along the way is that you have to be your biggest chearleader
2. You have to be genuinely invested in your clients positive outcome

You have to believe in yourself before you can expect anyone else to believe in you. People who are heavily invested in what others think of them have to learn to value their own opinion of themselves more than others opinion of them.

Separately, while the services I offer are for profit, I am genuinely happy for every client I offer services to and I celebrate with them and I want to make their milestones special. I don’t take lightly their needs and never put my name on mediocre work. People can tell when you are just in it for the money. I don’t treat my clients like a job, I treat them like its my life purpose to offer them the service they have hired me to perform.
