Savannah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In high school I decided to pursue my interest in cosmetology and esthetics and through that experience I realized I loved taking care of people and their wellness needs, rather than offering services that focused on changing them and possibly providing insecurities along the way. During the years I was in cosmetology school, I also endured an abusive relationship and what I began to search for for myself was a spa where I could address my skin’s needs while also getting the opportunity to fully unwind and escape.
However, I always felt like I had to choose between a spa that offered high quality skincare treatments or a relaxing day spa, but I never could find a spa that was both. Especially not one that provided a holistic root cause approach. This is when I knew I had to open Identity Skin Spa and provide what was missing in our community.
Identity Skin Spa became founded on a philosophy of mind, body, and soul. That proper wellness can only be achieved through a fully customized, holistic approach that addresses the entire body as a whole. All of our treatments are fully customized to each client as we understand no two bodies are the same. And we strive to offer all of our clients a deeply relaxing experience and a safe haven atmosphere where all emotions are welcome.
Then a year later, in 2022 we took that philosophy a step further and became Ohio’s first Oncology Safe spa and became a safe and relaxing escape for our local cancer community. By being able to treat skin reactions induced by chemotherapy and radiation as well as provide safe spa treatments, we were able to deepen our values of a safe haven atmosphere and truly create an all inclusive spa for our entire community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening Identity Skin Spa at only 19 years old was challenging as I had to work extra hard to prove to the community that regardless of my young age I was highly experienced in my field.

Identity Skin Spa is a luxury wellness spa designed to combine fully custom, all inclusive wellness treatments and deep relaxation through our holistic methods. We specialize in luxury facials and our most popular offering is our Reset & Reverse Facial that has been curated to target every form of aging through facial sculpting massage and our brand’s best products.
Another favorite treatment has become our Ultimate Head Spa experience as we are the only all- inclusive head spa facility in Mahoning County. We don’t believe in add ons, so our Ultimate Head Spa experience includes a hot stone massage, hydrating facial, sound bath, all the rejuvenation and massage your scalp needs plus a blowout.
We pride ourselves on being Ohio’s first oncology safe spa and being able to work closely with our local cancer centers to provide self care and relief.
I am most proud of the safe haven atmosphere we have created here. As someone who has experienced abuse first hand and has recovered, I know the peace that comes from having a listening ear and a safe place to feel stored emotions. And that is exactly what I get to offer every patient who walks through the door. It makes my day when clients speak to that and mention how comfortable they are here, because I know that our mission is working.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to open my own business and follow in my parents footsteps of being an entrepreneur. I would always be playing make believe games where I was playing an owner of some sort.
