Inspiring Conversations with Sarah Cawley and Logan Kwasnicka of Practical Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Cawley and Logan Kwasnicka. Them and their team share their story with us below:

The story starts long before the practice opened its doors. It begins with two Emergency Medicine trained Physician Assistants who watched countless people suffer from chronic diseases. Those two practitioners knew the work they were doing was important- life-saving- but also how many times they saw people come through the doors that they couldn’t help. Sarah Cawley and Logan Kwasnicka paths crossed, and they were blessed with the opportunity to train in the application of functional medicine principles. After watching many patients return to them with stories of hope and healing- both physically and emotionally, they both knew they had found a way of practicing medicine that was profoundly meaningful. Along the way, they discovered they had many things in common, and oddly enough their paths had unknowingly crossed before they ever met face to face. Following the breadcrumbs of a divinely designed plan, the two paths merged, and they decided to cut a new path together when opening Practical Healing.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of our biggest challenges if educating the community of what functional medicine is and how this approach is less about treating the symptoms and actually get to the root cause of many illness to promote healing or better yet used as a prevention strategy to promote longevity.

We’ve been impressed with Practical Healing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do?
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE —TO PARTNER WITH OUR PATIENTS! Practical Healing’s ultimate goal is to co-create rhythms and habits to achieve the highest expression of health with equal importance placed on physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. This is accomplished by engaging in a therapeutic partnership and equipping patients with the tools and support required to make meaningful and sustainable life changes. We desire to serve our community by creating excellent functional medicine care accessible and affordable. The Practical Healing team strives to provide functional medicine care through a team-based approach in a family-oriented setting. Through robust education and the practical application of functional medicine principles, we desire to develop a community where health is valued, and healing is possible.
