Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Kondrich.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker. This field of work was a calling for me. I have always been gifted with the ability to listen deeply to others and provide them empathy and unconditional positive regard. In early 2017 after working for a year with a Life Coach, I went on to study hypnotherapy. The experience that I had receiving hypnotherapy with the Life Coach was life-affirming, life-giving, and deeply healing. So, after studying and receiving my certification, I opened my own Mental Health Private Practice in Rocky River. I began my work providing hypnotherapy 1:1 with clients in my first office. The work was energizing and more rewarding than I could have imagined.
Some of my values are integrity and authenticity. I bring these into my work, and this means that I truly am a practitioner of all of the interventions I bring into my work. Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. In 2018 when a beloved teacher offered a Yoga Teacher Training, I jumped on it. It resonated with me that the work and philosophy of yoga is truly ancient technology that can support my work as a clinician.
I noticed through my work that clients were seeking deeper spiritual understanding and awareness. They strive to understand themselves better and heal not only themselves but generational trauma. Yoga has been a deep part of my own self-care allowing me to take care of myself in my work but has also informed how I approach my client work as well.
After the pandemic, I saw a deep need for all of us to begin to connect once again in person and to also offer my healing modalities in addition to talk therapy. This was where the idea for the Wellness branch of my practice was born.
I envisioned bringing on individuals to provide energy work, sound healing, massage, and movement.
I also believe in collaboration, and so Wild Rose Counseling and Wellness exists as a collaboration of clinicians from different disciplines providing mindful and holistic care to their clients.
As 2023 has embarked, I have been drawn to offering additional services myself that can operate outside of my license.
I have been working with the Brave Thinking Institute and Mary Morrissey’s Dream Builder program. I am a participant through the Dream Builder course, but I have also received a Provisional Life Coaching certificate which will be office October 2023. I am beginning to work 1:1 and in small group offering the Dream Builder Coaching program. The program like hypnosis and yoga, and mindfulness have deeply impacted my own spiritual healing journey, and I desire to reach as many people as possible. Wild Rose Wellness is truly a dream come true allowing me a space to expand and be of service.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe that all roads come with detours and slowdowns. My journey has certainly been no exception. I have had to learn new marketing skills and go outside my comfort zone. I have also had to stay current with the changes from the Pandemic both to mental health and to individuals’ needs and desires for their healing.
I have mistepped and learned along the way. I am not a business major. I have had to do a lot of self-studies to learn what it means to run a business.
Also, I have grown in leadership. I have taken steps which challenged me and where I had to learn through adversity. My practices in my personal life have helped me view all struggles as feedback and opportunity. It may be challenging to see in the moment, but I truly believe that without the struggle I would not be where I am now.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
I own and operate Wild Rose Counseling and Wellness. We are a mental health provider and wellness studio. We have 4 therapists in addition to myself who see clients for a variety of needs, including family therapy, marriage counseling, and working with teen girls. I work specifically with adult women who have experienced trauma, are going through divorce or a career transition. I also provided counseling to women who are experiencing anxiety and or depression, and I provide support to women who have a spouse in recovery.
I am best known for my ability to compassionately witness an individual’s story. I am trauma-informed and provide a somatic and whole-person approach. My true sense of caring about each person who trusts me is my deepest honor, and this radiates through the work that I do and the space that I hold.
When you work with me you will be met with immense respect and humble gratitude for your trust. You will also be challenged to expand your awareness and deepen your consciousness. My work is about showing you that all along you have had the answers within you. I tell clients all the time that it is our life experiences and circumstances that takes us further from that still small voice. My ability to intuitively connect provides gentle guidance for the client finding their way back to themselves. To build their own intuition. I am the facilitator and guide they are their true healer.
Heart To Soul a branch of my business offers life coaching and dream building, and mindfulness training. Research has demonstrated the impact of mindfulness on our mental health. I once again practice this myself and wish to share the wisdom and technology with others.
This is what I am most proud of. That I know and trust and believe that women who work with me build confidence, reconnection with their inner voice, and deep relational healing.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was and still am a highly sensitive empathic person. I feel deeply and always have. I was quiet and introverted and often as a result very anxious. I was introduced to meditation in middle school and will forever be grateful for all of the teachers who helped me get to know myself and expose me to the offerings I now teach.
I have always been a voracious reader. I love gardening and even studying horticulture once upon a time.
I am a loyal friend though relationships did not come easy to me in childhood. I may have been quiet and harder to get to know, but once we were friends, I was dedicated and loyal.
I can always remember being very aware of my intuitive knowing.
Throughout my school years and into early adulthood before studying my current path, people would seek me out for counsel. Strangers in stores and in the park would confide in me.
I have always been drawn to being of service. I traveled on mission trips in high school and believe this solidified my calling to be of service to others in my life.
