Inspiring Conversations with Quincy Big Heff Taylor of Capital Structure Entertainment

Today we’d like to introduce you to Quincy Big Heff Taylor.

Quincy Big Heff, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey in the music business with the 2nd Generation Ohio Playaz. Started working with Dj Whoo Kid, Mick Boogie, and Dj G Spot. Started doing promotions for Koch Records and I interned for Bone Thugs before that. I started working with and developing artist while I was a co- founder of the Ohio Hip Hop Awards which kicked off a second wave for me in music.. I’ve worked with Megan Thee Stallion, Tee Grizzley, Dreamdoll, Shy Glizzy, Dj Ryan Wolf, T Rell, SleazyWorld Go, Phor, YSN Flow, BellyGang Kushington, and recently did a project with Severe Tha Boss called “Real Brothers” and a new artist Zion D’aira. Hardwork and passion has been a key factor when it comes to me working with artists and touring. I’ve had some great partners and mentors like Dee Trane, Shadow, Maurice White, Eric Parler, Steve Lobel, Azim Rashid, and Dee Sonaram to help guide my career.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This road and this career has not been easy. Through the ups and downs, believing and praying has helped me through it all. My mentors taught me to do the work and over deliver. I’ve grown into spending a lot of time with my family. My mom always told me to Dream Big, and I shot for the stars. I have daily and weekly talks with Finch, my brother Severe, and Cam. That keeps me grounded and ready to accomplish more goals.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
One of my first mixtapes was called Capital Structure, the name stuck with me so it’s grown into a record label, mgmt company, and film division. In 2020 I did a documentary about my career. In 2022 I shot a movie called “The Capp” that’s available on Amazon Prime & Tubi. Right now I’m producing a tv show called “Backstage Pass” and a new movie called “Surf Club” written by Dion Hatcher. Working on releasing Dj Ryan Wolf new album, the first one “Dreams 2 Reality” hit a million streams. I’m excited about T Rell new album, im excited to release a new project on Phor as well: I believe in creating a sound and culture for the company that people believe in. I’m also VP of the Nerve Dj’s, President of DaConnect App, and CMO of Toyz Electronics. Things are rewarding and really creating some alignment. Recently created a partnership with YourInfoDaily, Auxchord to livestream, and podcast with Revolt. Dj Dreem and myself created a Cypher Society Series for new artists as well.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory would have to be Thanksgivings and Christmas eating with my family, and my pops joking with us because he was raising 3 boys. Great food from my mom and great times giving and receiving gifts. Recently with my family we are starting a trucking company called Trucking With Pride and Capital Structure Express Trucking. I’m really excited about growing in new ways.
