Hi Nikki, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I founded Mayfair Creations in May of 2023 as a creative outlet alongside my career in the medical field. While I love helping others through my work in healthcare, I’ve always had a strong crafty and creative side and wanted to build something that allowed me to express that passion.
What started as creating custom shirts, cups, and apparel for friends and family quickly grew as more people became interested in personalized, one-of-a-kind designs. A few months after launching the business, I expanded Mayfair Creations by bringing on my sister-in-law, Kennedi, whose creativity and talent have been an incredible addition. Kennedi creates all of our candles, wax melts, and space freshies, allowing us to expand into handcrafted home fragrance products.
As the business continued to grow, we also branched out into embroidery. My other sister-in-law, Emma, now handles all of our embroidery, helping us offer even more customization options while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Balancing a medical career with running a small business hasn’t always been easy, but it has taught me time management, dedication, and attention to detail—qualities that carry over into everything we create. Today, Mayfair Creations offers custom apparel, drinkware, embroidery, and handmade fragrance products, all designed with care and personalization in mind. We’re excited to continue growing and sharing our creativity with even more customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. As a newer business owner, learning the ins and outs while juggling a full-time career in the medical field has definitely been a challenge—especially as the business grew faster than I expected. Managing time, orders, and creative demands all at once has required a lot of adjustment.
I’ve also received many unique and custom requests that I hadn’t done before, which has been a learning experience. While that can be challenging at times, it has also pushed me to grow, expand my skills, and step outside of my comfort zone. Each challenge has helped me become more confident and better prepared as both a business owner and creator.

I’m particularly proud of how quickly the business has grown since we started in May 2023 and how we’ve been able to offer a wide range of products while keeping quality high and pricing fair. What sets us apart is our dedication to attention to detail, creativity, and truly listening to our customers’ ideas so that every order feels personal and special.

I feel incredibly lucky when it comes to my business. One of the biggest factors in our growth has been our amazing customers. They love the items we create and are always referring new people to us, sharing their experiences, and supporting what we do. Their enthusiasm and trust have been a huge part of Mayfair Creations’ success, and I truly consider myself fortunate to have such a loyal and supportive community.
While hard work and dedication are essential, having customers who genuinely appreciate and promote our products has been a stroke of good luck that continues to make a real difference in our business.
