Inspiring Conversations with Nick Bisharat of Nick’s Dog Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Bisharat.

Hi Nick, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My first personal dog was a big Mastiff. I got him as a puppy and wanted him to be well-trained so I could integrate him into my life and take him everywhere with me! I taught myself how to train him and I truly enjoyed and loved the process of working with him and training him… one thing led to another and I started getting my hands on more and more dogs while training for friends/family as a side hobby… along the way, I invested into self-study material, took some coursework, and developed some good mentors… one thing led to another and I kept working with more and more dogs, and eventually become skilled enough to branch off and launch my own dog training business as a full-time profession.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has generally been a smooth road, but there were certainly some obstacles… the dog training industry is very fragmented and without a solid reputation, it is difficult to acquire new clients. That said, as my skills grew and I produced good results for families, my reputation flourished and I was able to become well-established.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a small family business, it’s just me and my wife Katie and we do all of the training ourselves (we actually met each other through dog training!). We are Northeast Ohio’s go-to professional dog trainers. We specialize in family pet dogs with behavioral issues (aggression, bad manners, not listening to commands) and we help families strengthen their bond and relationship with their dogs. We are known for fixing difficult behavioral problems, and through that, providing dogs (and the families they live with) with a substantially improved quality of life. We keep dogs out of shelters and save dogs who are on the verge of being euthanized due to severe behavioral issues. We also specialize in training dogs to listen to their family at all times, even out in public with lots of distractions around! What sets us apart is that we can ALWAYS DELIVER RESULTS to our clients and the families we work with. We are also proud to have been recognized by Best of Best Reviews as Best Dog Trainer in Ohio in both 2024 and 2025. We have hundreds of 5-star reviews on Google, Facebook, and Bark.com.

How do you think about happiness?
Nothing makes us happier than helping families enjoy their dog and live a more fulfilling, enjoyable, stress-free life with their dog.
