Inspiring Conversations with Maurice Marshall of Uknowmoe2.com

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maurice Marshall.

Hi Maurice, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, at the age of about 16, I was introduced to cannabis or hash when I was living overseas in England. And as a military brat, I’ve traveled around the world quite a bit, but while I was living in Virginia, I was more intrigued with cannabis they’ll use help me with my PTSD my ADHD, and also the constant moves and changes that I’ve had to make for moving every 3 years. So as the years continued and many moons ago, I continue to dig deeper into the cannabis industry. I have completed a couple of courses in 2018, I was enrolled Introduction to Medical Cannabis program and the University of Cincinnati, and I push the pavement to try to get employment in the cannabis field, which is not always easy. So, I became a budtender for a major MSO, which I’m still employed for, and also continued my education through the green flower institute with a certification in the business essentials of cannabis and also cultivation and adopted all off with just recently completing my in the cannabinoid specialist from the cannabis School of nursing. Has been in this industry for some time, knowledge is definitely the key because back in the day, we couldn’t test for certain things or no certain things about cannabis, and now, with the legalization recreational and also medical will get in a better insight and a lot of older generations are now taken to cannabis, but it’s not the same type of cannabis that they’re used to so educating them is definitely a plus so I’ve been up and running for about 2 years now uknowmoe2.com, trying to focus on educating patients and also doctors and other educators about cannabis use the pros and cons, and I’m in the field of work that I am no longer at work I’m doing something that I’m passionate about, and I try my heart is to give it 110%.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road no it’s definitely has his ups and downs a lot of people feel when they come into the industry, that is what they see on YouTube and don’t really understand that it’s a business they don’t understand the business aspects of it so trying to get your foot in the door is one of the major I’m now at the prime age of 41 but I’ve been trying to become in the industry since I was 16 just to give you a rough idea a lot of it is networking and being really passionate about what you’re doing because it’s going to be some ups and downs and definitely some pay cuts but if you prepared for these things in the long run and you’re mentally stable to know that doing something that you love is a sacrifice then I feel that the struggles are definitely going to pay a brighter future.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So my business Uknowmoe2 it’s giving a one-on-one experience when entering the cannabis field; whether you are on the business side or patient, I feel like I’m an open book, and at times when you enter a cannabis facility, you have a lot of questions, and you don’t have a lot of time well that’s where I come in and make the time to go over a lot of the questions and some of the uneasiness that may be running through your mind when entering a cannabis facility. People also want to know that they’re in control, and when it comes to cannabis the knowledge part is definitely the control part because if they know about the terpene profiles and what’s really going to help with some of the conditions, then it’s easy for not only the business but also the patient to make conscious decisions and at times through our daily lives we really don’t focus on the things that we need to when it comes to purchasing cannabis other than just THCpercentage I’m here to try to break some of the stigma behind cannabis and the uses.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I know if it’s luck or determination or just a grand scheme because my prior job, I was released due to COVID, and then the cannabis consultant job opened up, so I guess I’ll say it’s the luck of the draw lol
