Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Simpson.
Hi Katherine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! My name is Katherine, owner of Clarice’s Confections. I got my start in the confectionery world back in 2009 while helping a dear friend with holiday baking. I had so much fun and had no idea that evening would lead to the birth of Clarice’s Confections! Over the last several years, I practiced my craft by getting in the kitchen and trying new baking recipes and chocolate dipped items. After receiving positive feedback in 2015, I started Clarice’s Confections in honor of my late grandmother. I enjoy baking and creating chocolate dipped items.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall I would say it has been a smooth road. Of course, life is a learning experience and I have experienced some minor obstacles on the way regarding operating a business, time management and customer service. I am constantly learning and I am thankful for growth. Clarice’s Confections’ motto is to create a memorable dessert experience for our customers.

Clarice’s Confections specializes in chocolate dipped items (pretzels, grapes, apples, apple slices, pretzel rods, marshmallows, graham crackers, rice krispy treats, Oreos, wafers) and baked items ( cupcakes, cream cheese pound cake). Clarice’s Confections also offers our Grown and Sexy Line (21 & up). Our Grown and Sexy Line offers Jell-O shots and liquor cupcakes (10+ flavors).
Clarice’s Confections believes in quality ingredients and quality service for our customers.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I would like for Clarice’s Confections to be mobile (food truck). I also would like to offer hands on classes or a YouTube channel to teach about this craft. I would love for Clarice’s Confections products to be on store shelves or in a restaurant.

It is truly a Blessing to have Ms Katherine over the years bake so many different goods for me and my co-workers- each and everytime we have been so pleased – we can never ask for anyone else – Ms Katherine is always our first choice for any and every occasions – she is always on time – So proud Ms Katherine of her accomplishment Blessings to you always now and in the future – well done Ms Katherine 😀
