Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Mint Auto Detailing all started one night of snowballing business ideas with a friend. We started the business May of 2020 during COVID to provide our friends and family with clean & sanitized cars during the pandemic. From there, we branched out to offering services to the public while working out of our home garage. We’ve expanded since and moved into our first shop after two years of business. Our goal has always been to offer the best customer service and detailing needs for our customers.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Operating a business for the first time overall wasn’t easy. Finding a balance and being able to prioritize all tasks became a challenge. Starting as a one-man show meant I had to do everything from customer service, checks & balances to marketing & advertising all along with detailing vehicles.
The biggest struggle for me was learning how to balance the business with my part-time day job. Working part-time, I would come home at 3:30 pm and take customers afterward at 4 pm. This led to sometimes working on a vehicle well past midnight to ensure the customer’s vehicle was ready for pick up the following day. I’m beyond thankful for the support and guidance I’ve had along the way from fellow business owners.

Mint Auto Detailing is a professional local auto-detailing garage that is fully licensed for Ceramic Pro Coatings and Kavaca Window Film! We also offer a wide range of additional detailing services that include: paint correction, window tinting, interior detailing, exterior detailing, and car wash services. What sets us apart from others is that we truly go above and beyond to provide our customers with the best detailing experience possible. No matter if it’s making sure we’re using the best products or providing a ride home for our customers while their vehicle is being detailed. Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The biggest risk was moving into our first building. There were many unknowns and concerns that included not knowing if it was a good transition for the business at the time or if our customers were willing to drive a little further. With the move came me having to quit my day job and take the business full-time which was a challenging decision. Overall, it was the best decision I’ve made. Sometimes taking that leap of faith and following your dreams can lead you to endless opportunities.
