Today we’d like to introduce you to Desmond Stanley.
Desmond, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My business partner, Timothy Roberts, and myself started this business to help other entrepreneurs grow. It was simple. We both had our hands in several pots and were working on several different projects at once and knew there were others like us out there that needed help with their brands. The idea behind it was “one-stop shopping” for small business owners and entrepreneurs.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a very rough road just to get where we are now and we aren’t even close to where we want to be. We started with a physical location and it was great. We’ve since been forced to move virtual temporarily and it has been a big adjustment. We had to really examine our business plan and figure out some major changes but I believe in the long run we will look back and be grateful for this situation. Every loss we’ve taken has been a learning experience and we have taken valuable information from it. We are looking for another commercial space currently that fits our unique building desires.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Incubator CLE?
We help Our clients get more sales/customers from social media using innovative advertising.
Essentially, we manage all of your business’s social media accounts and create content on your behalf so that you have a solid online presence without you, yourself, needing to spend a whole bunch of time doing it. We also pride ourselves on content creation, understanding that this will be a non-negotiable business component in the next 3-6 years. As a business owner, you must put out creative and engaging content for your following.
We offer free marketing consultations and from there we talk through with prospective clients on what services we believe would be most beneficial to you and your business or brand.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
I have read and enjoyed, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I also really liked Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson. There’s also a really cool video representation of this book on YouTube that I tend to show clients and friends. I’m a strong believer in YouTube University. I’ve taught myself several skills that I use daily all from YouTube.
