Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Luisa Reynoso Bendezu.
Hi Claudia Luisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Since I was 6 years old I wanted to learn to dance, I participated in all the activities of my school dancing at each festival.
When I was 13 years old, my parents had financial problems, and they couldn’t pay a dance academy. When I was 16 years old and I finished school I decided that dance would be my professional career, this decision was not easy since in my country Lima-Peru there were not so many opportunities and my family did not agree, but I was faithful to my dreams and I am proud to continue growing as a woman, in my professional career and in each project that I share to show all girls, youth and adults that age does not matter and that each one can fulfill their dream and that their current situation can change.

– Gratuated in the F3D – Programa de Formación Integral (PFI) of “D1 Asociación Cultural” by Vania Masías, Lima-Peru.
– Worked as staff member of dance teachers in D1 Asociación Cultural by Vania Masias in Peru from 2010 to 2021.
– Dance training in classical/urban/Latin genres around Latin America countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia.
– Specialized trainings focused on Latin style (salsa on2 & bachata) in the main cities of the United States: New York, Miami, Orlando, Las Vegas, Washington from 2010 to 2021.
Professional Achievements:
– 4 Times Salsa On2 & Bachata Professional Champion
– Salsa On2 (New York style) & Bachata Professional Ladies Choreographer
– 3 Times Salsa On2 & Bachata Professional Sub-Champion
– Choroegraphic show in schools and national TV programs
– Participated in Peruvian Nacional events (Peru Salsa Congress, Trujillo Latin Fest, Tacna Latin Fest, Perú Latin Fest)
– Participated in international events (World Latin Dance Cup, World Salsa Summit, Euroson Latino)
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At first, my family did not agree with my dancing, then I began to win scholarships and my first trips outside my country I had to do by bus because I had no money, an example I went to Argentina by bus that lasted 10 days roundtrip and other experiences more than today I am grateful because they made me a strong and dreamy woman.
As you know, we’re big fans of Reynas On Tu. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Workshops began in 2017 as part of the vision of Claudia Reynoso, its founder, who aimed to empower women through dance, discovering the best version of each one and always challenging them in each session.
Since that time, Reynas On Tu Academy has worked providing training of excellence to hundreds of women in person and online in Latin genres both in Peru and in other countries (Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Milan, USA – California / New York / New Jersey, among others).
Our workshops are focused on the Latin genres (Salsa on 2 and Bachata) both in technique and artistic expression of each style.
Among the values that we seek to promote within our students are discipline, commitment, respect, love for oneself and perseverance.
In Reynas On Tu academy, all our students (beginners, intermediate and advanced) are offered different workshops with a staff of teachers who will guide them in the correct way to improve their dance, discovering the best version of each one.
Our Dance Company, under the direction of Claudia Reynoso, is made up of 3 teams:
– Official Team
– Student Team
– Virtual Team
Each team has gone through a closed virtual and/or face-to-face audition process.
Our training spaces within our teams are formed to provide them with personalized and group training.
Where each member has an intensive training in order to discover her own essence, empowering herself through dance.
As a family, Reynas On Tu Teams main values are: discipline, perseverance, love, passion and respect.
Our teams are constantly preparing to participate in different events, National and International competitions. And also because we trust in the Process of each Member of our company, we give the opportunity to train our own members, who receive a preparation process to be Our Teachers and/or Leaders of Reynas on Tú Teams in the future.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was a girl with a lot of energy and Perseverance.
