Hidden Gems: Meet WatHeSay T2B of WatHeSay Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to WatHeSay T2B

Hi WatHeSay, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I come from Northeast Ohio, graduating from a small town called Orrville, with my family spread between Akron and Orrville. As a first-generation college student at Xavier University, I’ve always carried big dreams and a deep desire to make an impact — not just on my community, but on my peers as well. My goal has always been to bridge the gap and create opportunities for others while telling stories that deserve to be heard.

Growing up in a single-parent household, I witnessed firsthand what hard work and perseverance look like. My mom made things happen, no matter the circumstances, and that shaped my mindset. I was raised by strong, beautiful women who instilled in me the value of resilience and ambition. From a young age, I was drawn to entertainment — whether it was music, sports, or movies — and I knew I wanted to use my passion to inspire others.

In 2022, I founded WatHeSay Productions as more than just a name. It was a vision — a platform to capture meaningful sayings, stories, and moments from places people might overlook. I wanted to shine a light on experiences from the inner city and create narratives that resonate deeply, showing that, at the core, our struggles and triumphs connect us all. WatHeSay Productions isn’t just about entertainment; it’s about opening doors to new perspectives and building a legacy that proves dreams are valid, no matter where you come from.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Shit, I wish the road was smooth, but we all know life isn’t fair. Hardships and adversity are part of the journey, but like I tell my team — it’s not about what happens, it’s about how we respond. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in this business, and as an entrepreneur, is that you can’t mix emotions with the motion. Your mind has to be stronger than your heart. Don’t set expectations so high that you set yourself up for disappointment if things don’t go as planned.

Some of the struggles I had to overcome were time management and recognizing the level of effort from those around me. Everything we do has to make sense, and I had to accept that not everyone I thought would be ready for the work and dedication this journey requires was actually prepared for it. The reality is, not everyone is built for this path — and that can mean losing friendships and relationships along the way, simply because you’re focused on success.

One thing I always emphasize is to take yourself seriously before expecting anyone else to. Make sure the business you’re building is meaningful, where you can both benefit and grow from the experiences. At WatHeSay Productions, we live by a simple slogan: ‘It’s bigger than us.’ That mindset keeps us pushing forward, knowing that what we’re creating is about more than just the moment — it’s about building a lasting impact.”**

We’ve been impressed with WatHeSay Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the CEO and Founder of WatHeSay Productions, a rising production company dedicated to creating unique entertainment experiences while uplifting our community. We specialize in event coordinating, producing elite college events, podcasts, movies, and hosting city-wide experiences. Beyond entertainment, we’re deeply committed to mentorship, providing a platform for inner-city youth to share their stories and talents.

What sets us apart is our passion for creating spaces where creativity and community collide. One of the moments I’m most proud of is our Wild ‘N Out event, a collaboration with my alma mater, Xavier University. It brought a new level of excitement to campus while opening doors for students to explore their talents and connect with a broader network.

Additionally, we’re all about creating opportunities — especially for entrepreneurs in Cincinnati. Our night events serve as a platform for local businesses to shine, connecting them with wider audiences in a vibrant, dynamic environment. At WatHeSay Productions, it’s bigger than just events; it’s about building culture, community, and lasting impact.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice to any aspiring entrepreneur or anyone interested in the film and production industry: invest in yourself and always bet on you. Confidence is everything. Most people just talk about it — only a few actually take action and really put in the work. If there’s a vision you can’t get out of your mind, trust that it’s there for a reason. Keep plotting on that idea and execute it with the right team. Surround yourself with positive, like-minded individuals who share that bigger goal. Don’t waste time — time is the most valuable thing we have. Take the leap and try that idea. Even if things don’t go as planned, every loss is a lesson. Embrace the journey and keep pushing the destination has all types of routes that leads to it.
