Today we’d like to introduce you to Tosha Anderson.
Hi Tosha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Dontoja Natosha Denise Anderson. Also known as Tosha Anderson the name of my business Denise Danielle Photography was inspired from my middle name as well as my daughter’s middle name combined…Photography for me started with a Polaroid camera; taking pictures at our basement parties (that my mom never knew about). At the age of 14 I knew I would capture memories; I made the decision that I’m a photographer. Although I became a teenage mother, I wasn’t going to exchange my dreams from being a photographer however it wouldn’t be my main focus anymore. I came from a family of nurses and I decided to also become a nurse in order to make a way for myself and my son. Again, I still captured every memory within my Family and all of our endeavors so when Polaroid ended and Kodak cameras were introduced (film inside) I used those cameras for everything …I remember getting shots of the players from the Chicago Bulls team and Michael Jordan… I was very excited and sold on the fact of I just got pics of the Chicago Bulls but Every time I tell this story I can’t help but to be reminded how mysteriously Rite-aid on Salem lost all of the pictures I was so mad but not discouraged at all…
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When I first started as a photographer, I took pictures in my home. The difficult part was getting my customers to come to my home studio. I did that for about a year and a half. After that, I got a studio located downtown Dayton which I’ve had for almost 2 years in May. It’s been a bumpy road but it’s been fun.
We’ve been impressed with Denise Danielle Photography, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Denise Danielle Photography was established in 2016 I started out as a children’s photographer, but if you’re a photographer you do all genres of photography. No, if and or but about it. We are known to never disappoint. All of our sessions are in a well-lit studio with a home type of feel. I believe what sets us apart from everyone else is our pricing. We have amazing prices that fit the needs of every customer. What makes me proud is the response from each returning customer. I hope to one day expand and collaborate with other photographers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I’ve had slow days in business and days where it’s extremely busy. In life, things happen for reason not on purpose. I don’t believe in bad luck. It’s just not in God’s timing and luck is just a thing that happens without being planned.
