Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaniece M. Wise.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a certified business expansion coach and strategist, national speaker, and best-selling author who has built a community of successful business owners known as the “Unstoppable Community.” I am the Founder and CEO of Wise, Armstrong, and Associates, LLC, a business coaching consulting firm specializing in helping women in business extend well beyond six figures. My experience speaks for itself: my clients average 60-200% of business growth within 12-24 months of operation. I use my expertise to help clients gain visibility, increase revenue profitability, and improve systems and strategies. My business coaching and consulting programs are backed by spiritual and biblical principles, putting me in my unique niche. I currently have clients from all over the world in my coaching programs and taking my courses. I have had the opportunity to present publicly on platforms for JP Morgan & Chase alongside Essence Magazine, Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD), National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Columbus, TBN Broadcasting Network, the National Black MBA Association, McKesson Pharmaceutical Company, Charter Communications, Columbus Urban League, Ohio State University, and for Women in Telecommunications (WICT). I am also recognized as a top Business Coach by Influence Digest.
I was born and raised in the inner city of Columbus, Ohio, to Charles and Jacqueline Wise, two parents who ignited my humble spirit and budding work ethic and showed me how to work hard and how to work smart. They were two hard-working parents who supported my goals and dreams. I graduated in the top 2% of my class from Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business with two business degrees: Marketing and Transportation and Logistics. Furthering my education by gaining two certifications in Business Coaching and Executive Coaching. I am the author of ‘Activating Your Gifts: 2nd Edition – 15 Steps To Identify Your Gifts To Prepare for Entrepreneurship’. My greatest gifts are my faith in God, my husband Stafford, and two sons, Brandon Charles and Xavier Charles.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road to building my company has not been smooth, but it has been worth it. One of my struggles was the emotional effect of losing my father. I was a daddy’s girl. I loved my father and still do, and I miss him greatly. One day, he woke up, and his pressure was shallow; we took him to his doctor, and they took him to Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and I watched him die in front of my eyes. His heart began to turn, and life began to slip away. I left the hospital without my father. Two years later, I went through a nasty divorce that left me a single mom and almost homeless. The death of my father, a nasty divorce, and almost being homeless was my story at the time, but it was temporary. Looking back, I know my son was meant to be born, and once that task was completed, God had to close one door to open another. I am remarried and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy with a fantastic husband. I tell my clients that life is imperfect, and everything mirrors life, so do not expect business to be perfect, but your struggles will be your testimonies if you do not give up.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Wise, Armstrong, and Associates, LLC?
I love what I do. There is nothing like running a company that allows me to use my God-given gift to help others build strong businesses and create legacies for their families. What makes me different is my company is built on spiritual and biblical principles. This is the foundational piece of who I am. What I do as a business coach is my ministry, and I love every piece of it.
Teaching business owners how to simplify their business while multiplying their revenue is essential because too many entrepreneurs are hustling to grow businesses instead of doing it with ease and flow. A piece of that is educating on how to master high ticket sales to reduce time and improve the quality of work. The key is to create businesses that run even when the CEO is not around.
My journey as an entrepreneur began at the age of twelve; I had a lemonade stand in the front of my home. Growing up, I was always teaching, educating, and selling something. My nickname was “Boss Lady.” Early in my twenties, I became a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and began selling makeup and teaching others how to build their own Mary Kay Business. I moved up the career path very fast and became a Sales Director at twenty-four, driving a Pink Cadillac and being one of the youngest black Sales Directors in Columbus, Ohio. I traveled throughout the United States, teaching women how to build their own Mary Kay businesses. I was featured in Mary Kay’s national publications, earned national awards, and drove seven Mary Kay Career Cars, four being Pink Cadillacs. In one year, my unit sold over $500,000 in retail sales. I built an impressive career in Mary Kay Cosmetics for fourteen years, met some fantastic people, and created unforgettable memories. After stepping down and leaving Mary Kay, I started my Business Coaching ‘Firm, Wise, Armstrong and Associates, LLC’ as a Business Expansion Coach and Strategist.
My book, “Activating Your Gifts: 2nd Edition – 15 Steps To Identify Your Gifts To Prepare for Entrepreneurship’ was written because I watched my father take his gifts with him to the grave instead of fully becoming who I believe God wanted him to become. That is why I am determined to help as many business owners as I can use their gifts to help change the world.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest supporters are my family. They have believed in me, supported me, and prayed for me. They allow me to be me, and they support the decisions that I make and have made over the years.
My fantastic team supports the company’s mission, vision, and core values. We are in alignment, and we work very well together.
My clients are phenomenal. I have amazing clients who have graduated from my coaching program or are still working with me and are doing very well. They have played a significant part in the success of my company because their results have showcased the type of work I do and the type of support I provide.
For example:
Lisa Gutierrez, the owner of Dos Hermanos Food Truck, has been in my coaching program for four years and has grown by a million yearly, going from a food truck to four restaurants with over 50 employees.
Breanne Thompson joined my coaching program in June, only earning $20,000 up to that point as an Airbnb Super Host. After working with me for five months, she generated over $100,000 in her business and, after 20 months, surpassed $300,000.
Acquania Escarne, CEO of Wealth Strategist & CEO of The Purpose of Money, joined my program and had her highest month ever at $16,000.
Dr. Monica Cox, who is a professor at a prominent college and speaks all over the world, built the courage to submit a $60,000 proposal to a potential client for a one-day workshop and has started a Membership Program titled Accomplice Academy, which teaches people how to use influence and resources to command systemic change.
These are only a few of my clients; I could go on and on sharing testimony after testimony from the results my clients received after hiring me.
