Gold Bar Aesthetics started from a simple idea. We wanted to create a space where people feel confident, taken care of, and truly seen.
We have always been drawn to the balance between science and creativity. Our backgrounds taught us the importance of precision, safety, and trust, but we also saw how powerful confidence can be when someone feels like the best version of themselves. As we built Gold Bar, our intent was very clear. We did not want a quick fix or trend driven approach. We wanted every treatment to be planned, thoughtful, and rooted in education. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. The road was far from smooth, and in many ways, that is what shaped us the most.
One of the biggest challenges was learning that things do not always happen on your timeline. There were delays, unexpected obstacles, and moments where plans we were excited about simply did not come together the way we envisioned. We also heard a lot of “no” along the way, whether that was opportunities not working out or doors closing that we thought were meant for us.
There were also very real, tangible moments that tested us. We remember installing wallpaper we loved, only to watch it start falling off the walls. It sounds small, but in the middle of building a business, moments like that can feel overwhelming. At the time, it felt like yet another setback.
What we learned, though, is that every delay and every no was actually redirecting us. Each challenge forced us to reassess, refine, and make better decisions. The wallpaper came down and we ended up with a space that felt even more elevated and aligned with our vision. The opportunities that did not work out made room for better ones.
Looking back, those moments pushed us toward a stronger outcome. They taught us patience, resilience, and trust in the process. Most importantly, they reminded us that growth rarely comes from things going perfectly. It comes from learning, adapting, and continuing forward with intention.

They help me stay inspired while also reminding me not to take myself too seriously.
When it comes to books, The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown has had a big impact on how I approach authenticity and leadership, Atomic Habits by James Clear has shaped the way I think about consistency and long term growth, and How to Giggle is a reminder to find joy and humor even while building something meaningful.
