Hi Ryan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I was working as a Software Developer when I bought my Tesla in 2020. My job went from going into the office Monday through Friday to exclusively working from home. Not able to socialize with Covid restrictions, I started looking for ways to enjoy my car. I said this would be a good time for me to try ride-sharing, giving me the opportunity to actually go somewhere and help people out at the same time. I instantly gravitated to the idea. I decided after working for other rideshare companies that I wanted to branch out and start my own company, hence Cleveland Tesla Rides.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So far, it has been smooth. I rely on recommendations from my past clients to increase my business. One of the struggles has been trying to establish a daily schedule and time block. Each day is totally different which keeps it from being repetitive.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Cleveland Tesla Rides?
My company only gives rides in a Tesla. My Tesla has full self-driving capabilities versus other Teslas who only have highway self-driving capabilities. If requested, I let the car drive by itself to the amazement of my riders. I am one of the limited beta testers for Tesla. This allows my car to make turns on city streets. I ask for temperature and music preferences. I pride myself on having a very clean car. Rides can be scheduled in advance.

I’m currently reading ” From Here to Financial Happiness, Enrich Your life in Just 77 days” by Jonathan Clements. As a new entrepreneur, I’m finding this book very helpful.
