Hidden Gems: Meet Connor Paton of Noshable

Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor Paton

Hi Connor, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I launched Noshable during my final year at Miami University. Initially, I had plans to teach English as a second language abroad in Hua Hin, Thailand, post-graduation. However, my entrepreneurial path took an unexpected turn when I entered and won the Main St. Ventures Launch It Cincy Pitch Competition, securing $28,000 in funding and In-Kind Services. Building on that momentum, I raised an initial round of capital to develop and test our prototype.

I was fortunate to assemble a talented team of co-founders: Evan Fix, who brings nearly a decade of software development experience from Kroger, and Mac Hoeweler, whose finance and CPG expertise stems from his tenure at P&G. Together, we refined and tested our prototype in several markets nationwide. Today, Noshable serves and partners with property managers and guests across the U.S. We’ve had the honor of being recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Cincinnati list, and I was named one of Cincy Inno’s “5 to Watch” for 2025.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has certainly been a rollercoaster. Fundraising was particularly challenging, as I was only 22 when I started Noshable. Convincing investors at such a young age required persistence, resilience, and a clear vision. As a company, we’ve undergone several pivots, adapting our approach to meet market demands. In the early days, there were times we went months without paying ourselves, which tested our dedication and belief in the mission.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Noshable is a grocery concierge solution designed for travelers and guests of short-term rentals or second homes. Our platform allows guests to order groceries up to a year in advance, ensuring they arrive to a fully stocked fridge. We currently partner with some of the largest property management software platforms in the short-term rental industry.

What sets us apart from services like Instacart is our focus on seamless, pre-arrival convenience. Travelers gain peace of mind, knowing they can skip the grocery store and spend more time enjoying their destinations.

At its core, Noshable’s mission extends beyond groceries. We empower travelers to focus on what truly matters—spending quality time with friends and family, exploring new destinations, or simply unwinding—by removing the hassle of grocery shopping during their trip.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Three core lessons have guided me through this journey:

  1. Love What You Do: Passion is essential. Building something meaningful requires deep commitment.
  2. Learn Fast: The ability to adapt quickly to challenges and feedback is a superpower for any entrepreneur.
  3. Be a Contrarian: Success often lies in seeing opportunities where others don’t. Believe in your vision, even when it feels like you’re swimming upstream.

Being an entrepreneur takes unwavering faith in an idea that others may not immediately understand. But when you believe in your mission and put in the work, the impact can be truly transformative.
