Today we’d like to introduce you to Christi Harman
Hi Christi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began bartending at the age of 21, and over the past 14 years, I have worked in various settings, ranging from neighborhood bars to fine dining establishments. I’ve held every position in a restaurant, including management. Additionally, I have contributed to creating cocktail menus at several different bars and restaurants throughout the area.
I transitioned from a restaurant environment to catering, serving as an event bartender and server. Over the past few years, I have worked at hundreds of events.
After more than a decade of working for others, I decided to leverage my creative skills and talents to provide clients with the exceptional service they deserve. My top priority is to ensure that each client receives a bar experience tailored to their liking, complete with custom cocktails, efficient service, and strong organization.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Finding the right clients and marketing to generate leads has been our biggest struggle. Not everyone is familiar with the concept of dry hire mobile bartenders; in fact, some people don’t even realize it is an actual business. While social media has been helpful, generating buzz about our services can be challenging, especially when potential clients are not well-acquainted with what we offer.
In addition to attracting clients, navigating the laws and regulations surrounding dry hire mobile bartending has also posed challenges. We must manage everything from carrying insurance to obtaining the correct licenses for various events, which can be overwhelming. However, through extensive research, we have become much more knowledgeable about the entire business.
Once I connect with a potential client, the conversation usually flows smoothly. They often express appreciation for how much money they can save compared to catering companies and venues.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Crafted Bar Services?
I own a dry hire mobile bartending business, which means I can set up a fully functioning bar in any space using professional-grade equipment. I provide all the cups, straws, and napkins for the event, along with garnishes and specialty syrups for various cocktails. We work closely with clients to create a custom cocktail menu that includes both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages tailored to their specific event.
All we ask of our clients is to purchase the alcohol and mixers for whatever they decide to serve. We supply a detailed shopping list that outlines everything they will need to serve their guests, including the exact amount of ice required.
Clients choose dry hire mobile bartenders for their events because it is often more cost-effective than the per-person charges from catering companies and large venues. Additionally, they have the freedom to select the types and brands of alcohol they wish to serve. We are always happy to recommend local brands to our customers as needed.
What sets us apart from the competition is our attention to detail and nearly two decades of bartending experience. From creative and unique cocktails to a beautifully presented bar, our customers receive a luxurious experience without the high price tag typically associated with larger companies.
What are your plans for the future?
For our future plans, we are working towards accommodating larger parties and events by having multiple bars and bartenders available. Organizing large events requires significant effort and manpower, and we hope to offer this service to our clients in the foreseeable future.
In addition to larger events, I have always wanted to teach cocktail classes to small groups, similar to a sip and paint night. I am currently in the process of offering this opportunity to interested clients.
