Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Clark.
Hi Chelsea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My name is Chelsea Clark and I’m a small business owner, a city councilwoman, a sixth-generation farmer, and a single mom. I’m running to be Ohio’s Secretary of State because our democracy is under attack. I will fight to make sure that we all have access to vote, that all votes are counted, and that our elections are safe and secure.
I will cut red tape and support small businesses trying to create jobs in Ohio. “As a small business owner, city council member, and sixth-generation farmer, I’ve seen the barriers that everyday Ohio families face.” I grew up in Allen County and graduated from Elida High School. I went to Miami University where I studied business, started the campus chapter of the ACLU, and helped to organize better wages for university employees.
After graduation, I began my career as a financial analyst in Cincinnati before becoming a teacher. In my spare time, I started a non-profit geared toward providing services to Cincinnati-area parents helping their children learn math and science.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The campaign has been great, like other campaigns of this size,, our fundraising has been a bit lower than anticipated, but we’re making some decisions that we think will be beneficial down the stretch with what we have.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cincy STEM Lab. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
A place to foster and encourage the sales of our young people as they grow in our ever-changing world in these critical areas of academics.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
Helping to spread the word about this election in all the many forms that voters are exposed to. Finding this effort is important, but also using what we have to do the same. Expanding relational executives can also be beneficial.
