Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Jackson.
Ashley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
While helping my fiancé, Troy, go through his cancer treatments, I was also planning our wedding. Troy did not want to cancel the wedding, as the vision of seeing me walk down the aisle gave him the hope and motivation to overcome and beat cancer.
This was no small feat and took a lot of determination and heart. Planning an event with someone who may not survive to that date can be nerve-wracking and scary, but I did it! In March of 2020, Troy was pronounced cancer-free! We are so overjoyed and thankful that we have been given another lease on life! We plan to live life to the fullest each day!
After going through this heart-breaking ordeal, I realized my life’s purpose and vision is to help terminally and chronically ill people have a “Timeless Dream Event”. We love to celebrate life each day, and I want others to feel the same way! Everyone deserves a celebration.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I launched my business in July 2020, at the peak of the covid shutdown and when everyone was scared of whether their wedding was going to happen or not. Making sure that couples felt secure and confident with me helped alleviate the strain and stress that covid brought.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Since we cater to those who are terminally/chronically ill, we can help plan a wedding at minimal notice. I’ve been proud to help those who found themselves in the same situation. We’ve been able to help plan weddings inside of Hospice, personal homes, parks, etc. due to the individual’s needs. We will help anyone, whether they are terminally ill or not but I’m so glad that people know they can count on our services to help if they need us!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Patience. Some couples have had to reschedule their weddings once or twice and may need your empathy and understanding through their planning process.
