Today we’d like to introduce you to Ann Adams.
Hi Ann, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My real estate career really started unbeknownst to me the moment that I started my college career in forensic accounting. I always had a passion for helping people. I just did not know my skillset of being good with finances and numbers would turn into a passion of helping people buy their first home or investing into real estate. Since becoming a real estate agent back in 2014 I have since helped people find their first home to selling their homes to purchasing commercial properties and listing commercial properties as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a very smooth road. While I was obtaining my degree, I took the knowledge I learned and applied it to running a landscaping business that I assisted in growing into a multi-million-dollar business. Like some people have experienced, I went through a divorce and took on everything on my own. It was a very hard decision to steer my career into a new direction, but being a single mom, I wanted to find something that I could still help people with my experience and knowledge while still maintaining being at my kids’ school events and sports. I decided to get my real estate license in 2014 and put all my energy into making an income to provide for my boys and help my clients. There are the struggles of getting my clients to closing and making sure the promise I made to them happens and become a reality. There are the struggles of juggling all the facets of a transaction to make sure all parties get to closing, which trust me is not at all easy. Juggling everyone’s schedule and making sure everyone stays on the contractual timeline can be one of the hardest tasks, but seeing the smiles on closing day and keeping in touch to help my clients as they progress into their next investment or with their families melts my heart.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Evolved Realty?
Evolved Realty is my real estate team that I started to grow as my business grows. I currently work for a brokerage called Coldwell Banker Realty. A very well-known company. I am considered an agent for them. I am a real estate developer, and I help my clients develop their real estate portfolios as well as purchase their own personal properties to add to their portfolio. What sets me apart from everyone else is the knowledge I pack in this career over the last decade in the addition to the last two decades in growing a multi-million-dollar business. Most can open a door and fill in lines on a contract. I go over and beyond to make sure the contractual agreements are followed as well as I look at the numbers to make sure it is something you can invest into. I am most proud of my brand because I am passionate about being there for my clients and protecting them throughout the process. My passion for your success is my success.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I honestly credit many people to my success. Who sticks out the first and foremost is my first broker Pat Mahaffey. He stood by my side through so many obstacles in my career. Becoming a real estate agent and not knowing how to handle my first transaction, to going through my divorce, to also handling some challenging moments of thinking this career was no longer for me when a client assaulted me. He has always followed up with me and protected me in my endeavors. I owe him so much for giving me the push to get out there and grow my business when he felt I was going to stay stagnant unless I went to a bigger brokerage. He has become a dear friend and a fatherly figure to me. That has meant the world to me.
