My journey began in 2008 when I opened Miracle Child Daycare Center in Akron, Ohio. I had a vision to create a safe, nurturing environment where children could thrive while parents had peace of mind. Over the years, I invested deeply in the daycare, not just in physical space and supplies, but in ensuring that the children’s emotional, social, and academic needs were met.
As my passion for helping others grew, I expanded into various areas, creating programs like *Fadia Young Women’s Program* and *Humble Beginnings Services*. These initiatives were born from a desire to empower women and foster their personal growth, especially those who were navigating challenging circumstances. I also saw the need to give women a platform to share their voices, which led me to launch *Life Her Podcast*. The podcast is designed to uplift, encourage, and provide a space for women business owners to share their journeys.
Throughout this journey, there have been ups and downs personal struggles, business challenges, and moments of doubt but my faith has always kept me grounded. I’ve learned that resilience is key, and no matter how tough things get, persistence, passion, and purpose will always see you through.
What keeps me going today is my commitment to help others succeed, whether it’s by sharing my story, offering mentorship, or creating platforms where people can connect and learn from each other. Today, I continue to manage my various ventures, always looking for new ways to uplift my community and provide the resources and support people need to thrive.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into who I am today. When I started my journey as an entrepreneur, I quickly learned that building something from the ground up takes immense sacrifice, hard work, and resilience.
One of the biggest struggles I faced was learning how to navigate setbacks without losing sight of my vision. Whether it was financial challenges, balancing motherhood and business, or moments of self-doubt, I had to push through and remind myself why I started.
When I launched *Life Her Podcast*, for instance, there were moments where I questioned if anyone would listen or care about the stories I wanted to share. But I kept going, knowing that even if one person was inspired, it would be worth it. Over time, I saw how much people connected with the platform, and it reminded me that staying consistent is key.
Another challenge has been overcoming the fear of failure. There were times when plans didn’t go as expected, and I had to pivot or completely start over. But I’ve learned that failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of the journey. Each struggle taught me valuable lessons about resilience, faith, and the importance of having a strong support system.
Through it all, my faith and the unwavering belief in my purpose have carried me. The road hasn’t been smooth, but I wouldn’t trade the lessons I’ve learned for anything because they’ve made me stronger and more determined.
