Exploring Life & Business with Tulimubona Namulemo of New Eve Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tulimubona Namulemo

Hi Tulimubona, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
One month before my 10th birthday, my family and I embarked on a 24-hour, one-way journey from Entebbe Airport in Uganda to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio. I was extremely excited, having heard that the streets in America were “paved with gold.” But that excitement quickly faded–and not just because the streets weren’t literally paved with gold as I had imagined.

As a young girl adjusting to a new culture, I often felt out of place. It became clear to me that I didn’t fit the cultural “standard of beauty” at the time, and I also faced bullying, which deeply and negatively impacted my body image and self-esteem. The harsh words spoken to me by other children, along with my own negative self-talk, took a heavy toll on my sense of self-worth. In an attempt to conform and find acceptance, I even tried to lose weight–despite not needing to–but it didn’t work as I thought it would.

Over time, I turned to faith as a source of strength and healing. Through my growing relationship with Jesus Christ, prayer, and meditation of God’s word, I found the healing and restoration I desperately needed. I began to focus on wellness—not just physical health, but also mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This transformative journey ignited a passion within me to help others who were struggling, just as I had.

Ultimately, that passion led me to create a faith-based wellness brand. My goal was to build a space where people could nurture their spiritual, mental, and physical health, integrating their wellness journey with their faith. Today, I’m proud to lead a community that embraces holistic wellness rooted in faith, helping other women heal, grow, and thrive.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a first-time small business owner has most definitely not been a smooth road. One of the most challenging aspects of venturing out to pursue an idea or vision is getting past the constant mental hurdles. Self-doubt and imposter syndrome often crept in, making me hesitate and delay in bringing the vision to life.

Another significant challenge was (and still is) balancing multiple roles. As a business owner, you have to wear many hats–customer service, marketing, sales, event planning, and so on. It can be overwhelming to juggle all the responsibilities, especially while still learning the ins and outs of running a business.

Despite the struggles, I am grateful for the opportunity to use my own story and testimony to help others. I am also very thankful for the people who have supported me along the way. Their encouragement, guidance, and belief in my vision have been invaluable. Having a support system that can offer practical assistance, advice or just a listening ear has made all the difference in my journey as a business owner.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What makes you happy?
Many things make me happy! The sun makes me happy because there is nothing like waking up from a restful sleep and walking outside to a warm sunny day…and also vitamin D (or lack there of) actually can affect your mood. Ice-cream makes me happy because it’s delicious and refreshing (shout out to Mitchell’s Ice-cream and Jeni’s Ice-cream!). Beautiful nature makes me happy because I especially feel close to God while enjoying His creation. A good workout makes me happy because…endorphins! The list goes on! I think happiness can be created in any situation and part of being wholly well for life is learning to be find something to be happy about even if it’s something small or simple.
