Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started doing hair when I was 14. I watched YouTube videos and musically’s to learn, then eventually started practicing on neighbors and friends. I went to cosmetology school February 2024 and graduated February 2025. I started my LLC (Dolledbythebratt) during Covid 2019, and it’s been 7 years.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
At first it was rough because I started with no clients (I was working as a Medical Assistant and restaurant server at the time) due to me starting school in Cincinnati. But the more I promoted myself and recorded doing hair I gained clients. I have had trial and error with certain styles but I’ve always figured out better ways to do them.

I offer Blowouts, Color, Silk presses, and protective styles.
What’s set me apart from others is that I offer a full service, have a private room, and I’m very dependable.
What I’m proud of brand wise is that my name is getting out there and my clients trust me.
What I want readers to know that I do all hair types and curl patterns. I’m LGBTQ friendly and black business owned. My location is wheelchair accessible
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes happy is seeing my clients leave satisfied, referring me to others, and being comfortable enough to be theirselves in my chair. It truly makes my day servicing others and meeting new people
