Exploring Life & Business with Naomi Prusinski of Be Better ERC Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Prusinski. 

Hi Naomi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My partner and I have owned multi locations salons in WI for 15 years; we also do salon coaching and love helping other business owners. My partner, Shannon Lopez, works on the accounting and financials in our business, and I work on the operations and marketing. During covid, Shannon had looked for every opportunity to help us financially. She was instrumental in getting us 2 rounds of PPP loans and having those forgiven as well, keeping us afloat and our business running. We also received several grants, and she kept looking for other programs. While reading docs in the CARES ACT, she read about the Employee Retention Credit and shared that with me. We both read key points and understood about the qualifications, and thought we could qualify. She worked with our accountant to get the calculations together for the program and to submit what was needed. Although that was done, she continued to study the program and realized after more investigation we could qualify for more than our accountant told us. From here, we talked to other businesses about the funds and realized no one knew about this program for r how life-changing the funds could be for their business, and from there, we knew we had to help others understand and file for it. The credit is $5000 to $26,000 per employee! It’s an amazing program. We started about 6 months ago and have helped many businesses, totaling over $18,000,000! It is very rewarding to work with these businesses and help them. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been amazing so far! The only challenge is getting the businesses to believe they qualify!

We offer the complete package to file for ERC funds; we do it all. The client has nothing to worry about, and our process is quick and less expensive than our competitors. We truly want to help other businesses and also help them understand it while knowing they have us to depend on to navigate what is needed. 

Any big plans?
Just helping more businesses and continuing to grow! We also plan to donate 10% of all sales, not profits to charities. We’ve already started the process of donating and want to keep that front of mind.
