Today we’d like to introduce you to Moira Reed.
Hi Moira, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was always interested in what else is out there. I frequented palm readers, psychics and tarot readers starting from a young age. Around 2012 I had a mystical experience during an energy healing session. I felt as if I was conforming with everything around me. When they say we are all one and we are all connected, I can say that is definitely true from what I experienced.
In 2016, I went through a divorce, which ultimately led me to becoming a Reiki Master. As soon as I began practicing on people, my intuition opened up and I could feel and see physical and emotional pain on others. I then experienced a deceased loved one come through and I knew I needed to explore more. I took a 9-month intuitive course which opened up my intuition even more, taught me more about energy and empaths and taught me how to get messages from the other side.
In 2017, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business out of my home. I then expanded to a yoga studio, then my own healing space. On top of working one on one with clients, I teach meditation in the corporate world, to athletes and really to whoever will have me. I have Full Moon Healing rituals and I read tarot cards. I also have online and in person classes about opening your intuition, self care for empaths and help for parents with struggling teens. My clients are from every background imaginable as well as every age. I have a large teen client base as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I just keep going. I keep learning, I keep having faith and I keep asking God/The Universe/Angels to put people in my life who need my guidance. There has been a financial struggle of course starting my own business essentially on my own. The other struggle is still trying to be a stay at home mom. I was always a stay at home mom and thankfully I can make my own schedule. But I miss games, practices and events I never use to miss. And I am definitely still working on boundaries, saying no, not accommodating everyone at all times. So, yes, that struggle is real, but I am doing it!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Reiki Master, Intuitive Healer and Meditation Teacher. The biggest part of my business is my one on one clients. Because I am intuitive, I can see how people feel, what is blocked in them, their fears, their anxieties etc. I help people become who their soul is yearning them to be. I help people remember why they came to this earth and help them rediscover their natural gifts and talents. I would say my intuition and uniqueness sets me apart from others.
I am most proud that I stepped out on my own. Did things my way, followed my gut and owned my weird self in the small town in which I live.
I want your readers to know that I am here to help you. That I have heard many stories, problems, issues and I so do not judge. I just want to help you along your journey especially in this time in which we are living when anxiety is high and the unknown is scary.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Our city is awesome. I’d say it’s eclectic. So many sports teams as well as music venues, theatre, a great restaurant scene and unique spots and hidden gems galore. There truly are so many places to explore in the Cincinnati area. On the water, in the city and in open spaces. I guess what I like least is also one thing I like best. It’s a small town and everyone knows your name…. Sometimes too close for comfort, but sometimes very comforting.
