Hi Miriam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in New York in a city of dreaming big and endless opportunities, I’ve always had a hustler mindset! I brought that mindset with me when making the big move to Cleveland, Ohio. I have accomplish so much since my big move. I started a beautiful little family of my own and obtained my master’s degree in applied behavior analysis while working full-time in my clinical field. I loved the career path I have chosen, shaping and changing the lives of the individuals and their families that I was working with, but always had a creative side to me. I launched my business as a means to express my creative side and ventured into the realm of entrepreneurship. Surprisingly, within just a few months of its inception, Glow Event Rentals, a marquee light company founded by my close friend Nidal in Michigan, has experienced rapid growth. Embarking on this journey of starting a business requires more than it seems. It demands relentless effort and a genuine passion for your endeavor. Along the way, you encounter incredible individuals who inspire you and propel you towards your best self.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When I began this business, there were many uncertainties, especially regarding social media usage and marketing strategies, which posed significant challenges for me. Being naturally private, I had never utilized social media personally. Learning to create content and market myself was a steep learning curve. However, I’ve since become more adept at it and have discovered my own style along the way.

Glow Event Rentals, founded in Michigan by my close friend Nidal, has been a guiding force in the event industry for me as we launched our venture in the Cleveland area. Our rental service specializes in top-of-the-line LED marquee lights, boasting cutting-edge features like color changes within seconds and synchronized lights dancing to the sound of music. What truly sets us apart is our collaborative approach with inspiring creatives, enhancing our brand’s appeal. I’m particularly proud of the overwhelming support from our community and the rapid bookings we’ve secured within just a few months. It’s important for people to know that Glow is women-owned, with diverse interests beyond business, such as my background in behavioral health and being mothers. Our message remains clear: never confine yourself to a single passion!
