I didn’t wait for an opportunity—I created one. I walked into a local business, pitched my social media management services, and landed my first client on the spot. From there, word spread. Businesses started reaching out, referrals kept coming, and I quickly realized I had something special. What started as a single pitch turned into a growing network of small businesses trusting me to elevate their online presence. That momentum led me to officially launch The Grace Edit, where I now help businesses craft bold, strategic, and engaging digital content, along with physical marketing services.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Success rarely comes without challenges, and my newest endeavor was no exception. One of the biggest struggles was learning to navigate the ever-evolving social media landscape while building a business at the same time. Algorithms change, trends shift, and what worked yesterday might not work today. I have to stay adaptable, constantly educating myself and refining my strategies to ensure my clients see results. Another challenge was balancing creativity with the business side of things—handling contracts, pricing my services, and setting boundaries to avoid burnout. I had to learn (and am still learning) how to struggle being a mom of three with my new career. But every obstacle taught me something valuable, and those lessons have shaped The Grace Edit into what it is today.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Grace Edit. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Grace Edit isn’t just another social media and marketing agency—I’m a brand’s secret weapon. I specialize in social media management, content creation, and brand marketing, helping businesses not only grow their online presence but create a lasting impact. What sets me apart is my personalized approach and long-lasting need to learn and grow. I don’t do one-size-fits-all strategies. Instead, I craft custom content and marketing plans that align with each brand’s unique voice, values, and goals, no matter the industry.
Honestly, I’m most proud of myself. Putting it all “on the line” and making moves outside of my comfort zone. I’m proud of myself work and how The Grace Edit has helped businesses transform their online presence—whether it’s turning engagement into sales, refining brand messaging, or helping companies show up consistently online. At the core of everything I do is storytelling and strategy. I don’t just post content; I build brands and relationships.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is customer service. When you provide exceptional customer service and focus on building a strong, trusting relationship with a client, you’ll never have a shortage of business. Delivering this experience and providing results has been my number one priority.
Next, know your worth. I’m sure other small business owners can relate. There’s a quote that Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase posted to his Instagram recently that I live by, “know your worth, then add tax.”
If you settle in business or life, you’ll never reach the top, and that’s the only place I’m interested in going. I knew from a young age that God had a plan for me. I prayed for The Grace Edit, without even realizing it at the time. I struggled to find a career that would allow me the time and flexibility to be present with my children while nurturing my creative outlet and need for individuality. God’s timing is everything.
