Exploring Life & Business with Emily Vermeer of The Divine Collaboration

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Vermeer.

Hi Emily, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
2021 I was working a retreat as an assistant to a Female Business Coach. Surrounded by 50+ women in an atmosphere of acceptance, community, wealth, connection, and eagerness to learn and be poured into my heart expanded. After watching these women grow in such small-time frame, I came home searching for something similar in my area that I can be plugged into.

I was craving community, business mentorship, friendship a network for referrals and accountability, and a place that felt safe to praise and worship God. I remember meeting a friend in the area and asking her if something like this existed after I had plugged into so many networking groups and left feeling unfed and disconnected. She said, No Em, but I think you are going to create it.

As entrepreneurs not many people understand our language, our work, our mindset, and our systems but us. Feeling safe, connected, and inspired is key aspects to entrepreneurs. This Idea was quickly set on the back burner while I focused on our other businesses.

Fall of 2021, I attended a conference and was asked to finish the sentence “Wouldn’t it be cool if…”. So, I stood up, walked to the top of the stage, took the mic and vision casted what is now the Divine Collaboration. It went like this… Wouldn’t it be cool if there was a place that each month you could be poured into spiritually, business-wise and build connections with like-minded women that “get it”. Half of the room had lifted hands saying they would be there! Two weeks after that we launched a beta program virtually and celebrated our official launch in January of 2022.

The Divine Collaboration is a community membership for faith-based female leaders to connect to self, others, and God in life and business. We meet virtually twice a month with themed events lead by mentors and workshops with guest expert speakers. We also provide retreats and in-person events inside our local Collectives “chapters.”

We have 3 Collectives, the Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin Collective. Inside each collective we host quarterly IN person meetings to connect, worship, and enjoy each other’s company!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes and no. When I leaned in, took the leap many doors opened. Big-time names agreed to speak and pour into the women that were joining, members were coming that didn’t know me but heard about it.

The struggle has been to continuously lean into and trust what God has for this membership.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Divine Collaboration is a community membership that goes deeper than most networking groups that you find. Have you ever heard your network = your NetWorth. It’s not what you know, it is who you know, and this community is exactly that. We want you to find your new business bestie, next client, neighbor, customer, connection to further your life or business in an impactful way.

That doesn’t just happen with an exchange of a business card. It takes intentionality, clear values, and heart.

When you join, you not only get access to a sisterhood, you get collective wisdom, support, inspiration, motivation, accountability, and others to push you to your limits to start living out your divine calling that God laid on your heart.

With a combination of spiritual and personal development with a mixture of business coaching and networking, we believe this is a 1 stop shop for female leaders.

What does success mean to you?
Success is being able to find consistent Joy in your day.

  • Membership is $44 per month
  • Collective Events for nonmembers $10
