Hi David & Caity, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers? 
Little Rock Home Repair is a husband-and-wife team based out of Lakewood, Ohio. David spent his career as a bindery operator in print shops and spent most of his free time either working on cars or improving our home. Caity has a degree in architecture, with her career trajectory taking her into small business operations and marketing.When the pandemic began affecting local businesses, David’s work hours were cut, and he started doing handyman work on the side. He had a natural knack for working with customers and getting the job done right. Then, the schools shut down, and we knew we needed more flexibility to handle our three kids (one in remote kindergarten at the time). After lots of talking together and overcoming our fears, David quit his job, and we launched Little Rock Home Repair full-time in August 2020. At the time, David was doing any type of handy work, but since then, we have grown to specialize solely in fences, porches, and decks.I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When we first launched, it felt like we were stepping off of a cliff and unsure of what to expect. We have been extremely fortunate to have consistent work, in particular in the community of Lakewood where homes are reaching the 100 year mark and needing significant repairs.

We just naturally have a complementary skillset between the two of us – Caity keeps everything running behind the scenes with customer communication, material orders, filing permits, and keeping everything on schedule. David is the salesman and lead installer on every job. He can literally build anything. It just works and we appreciate each other’s strengths.

Our biggest struggle is keeping the lines between home life and work life defined. We often do our work at nighttime after the kids go to bed and try to avoid business talk over the dinner table!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Little Rock Home Repair?
Little Rock Home Repair specializes in constructing or repairing fences, porches, and decks. We service Lakewood and surrounding suburbs within a 20-minute drive time – we keep that radius so we are still around for school pick-ups and drop-offs for our kids. We are proudly a small business and David does all of the quoting on the weekends while doing all installs during the week. Because we purposely don’t have separate salesmen, our schedule for David to go out quoting books up really quickly so please be patient with us… when we do get to you, you have our full attention!

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
From the heart, we truly care about our customers feeling good about the outcome of their project. We take immense pride in our reputation as we work and live in Lakewood, this is where our roots are. We like to think we are stretching the boundaries of what most people think about contractors as we strive for excellent communication, honesty, and keeping on schedule (thank you Caity).
