Hi Danielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My first job was as a receptionist for a small business. My father was a small business owner, so I was brought up with the attitude that if I was twiddling my fingers on a job, I wasn’t making the most of the opportunity. This attitude helped me to look beyond my basic tasks and see what else I could learn on the job. As a result, my position constantly morphed as I developed my skills and knowledge of each small business that I was employed at. In 2022, I decided it was time to open my own company, and now I get to use that mentality with my clients as I learn the ins and outs of their organizations.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve learned that building and nurturing business relationships takes a lot of time and dedication. I was used to being assigned a client, learning their vibe and then adapting from there. It’s a whole different ballgame when you are finding the clients from the getgo! It can be difficult communicating the scope of what we do, but when you find that contact that connects with it, see the lightbulb go off in their head, and know that it’s exactly what they want… well… it’s extremely rewarding.

As you know, we’re big fans of Cat and Bat Virtual Assistance. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
We offer personalized administrative support to volunteer boards and solopreneurs at the executive level. It’s a fancy way of saying you make the big decision, and we will execute it. Our support usually involves project management, content creation, communications, and event management. By working on a fractional basis (packages start at 15 hours a month), we precisely fill the void for small organizations at the precipice of growth but don’t need more capacity or budget to hire full-time employees. If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
My family would describe me as a cheerful, curious, and playful child. I tended to obsess over the things I loved thoroughly, and that love would stick. These tendencies have followed me into adulthood.
