Exploring Life & Business with Candace Berry of Healthy Pup Stuff

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Berry.

Hi Candace, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Healthy Pup Stuff started out of the idea of helping dogs get supplemental care for health issues in the healthiest and tastiest way possible. At only 6 months old, my dog Arwen was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Many supplements were prescribed and recommended that were full of chemicals, fillers, and ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce. Not only that but had safety warnings for overdosing. Arwen was so young and I couldn’t get myself to put any of that in her body, so I began my research! I found so many amazing, natural, whole food ingredients that help just as much if not more than the chemical-based version of supplements. I started making our Joint Supplement for her and within a week noticed a difference. Seeing how much one dog was helped, I decided to get back to research and see how many common health issues I could also help dogs with. This was only the beginning! Since then, I have been able to help dogs avoid surgery, stop itching so much, control their stomach issues and so much more! Many people like to even add Healthy Pup Stuff products to their treat regimine. Dogs love them and benefit them more and more every day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business right before a worldwide pandemic was something I was not expecting. Like starting any business, there is a learning curve, and took some time to find out where my product would fit. I was lucky to gain traction in farmers’ markets and local events to spread the word of my very young business. People and their dogs grew attached to my little company so quickly! Starting in 1 market the first year and growing to 10 the next, we got busy FAST! Using mostly organic and local ingredients, not only was I supporting local but it lead others to support me as well. Columbus has been an amazing place to get me started and can’t wait to see what’s next.

As you know, we’re big fans of Healthy Pup Stuff. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Healthy Pup Stuff is an all-natural dog supplement and treat company. I create products free of chemicals, filler or even preservatives. All of my products can be used as treats and as supplements to help various health issues. I have helped dogs with hip and joint pain, upset stomachs, itchy/dry skin and so much more. I use local ingredients when in season and use almost all organic raw materials. I have quickly grown to be known for a healthy alternative to most supplements that are riddled with chemicals and side effects while giving dogs a healthy treat to enjoy. They are unique in ingredient composition as well as their ability to fix so many health issues while being delicious! I have received the most heartwarming reviews over the years of people’s dogs avoiding surgery, fixing lifelong stomach issues, and helping dogs with severe allergies and skin conditions. I want to help as many dogs as possible and getting hear from people how much it has truly helped keeps me pushing to do more. I currently create supplements for skin issues, joint pain, stomach problems, puppy development, teeth health, and dogs who are overweight. Each of these are also used as treats for so many customers. The delicious flavor keeps the pups coming back for more. I look forward to developing more and more products to help your dogs stay healthy and provide a healthy treat alternative.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?

I am often at both North Market Locations and will be at various Columbus Farmers Markets coming this spring.
