Hi April, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Your Perfect Day 15 years ago when I was planning my own wedding. I was looking for a vendor that offered a variety of services that I could use. After a lot of research, I realized that vendor was not available so I created my own. My company offers 7 different services: wedding planning, day of coordination, ceiling/backdrop fabric/lighting, furniture rentals, centerpiece rentals, linens/napkins and luxury restroom trailers. I have worked with over 1,000 couples and now manage 180-200 weddings a year.
I am a mother of 2 (10 year old daughter and 12 year old son). Both of my children are involved in sports so that keeps me busy during the week and any weekends that I have off.
Fun fact: I played women’s professional football for the Toledo Spitfire & was MVP both years!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning your own business is never easy. You work long hours, every day of the week and have to continuously answer emails/phone calls. One of our biggest struggles has been keeping up with the industry trends and adjusting to what each couple wants.

Your Perfect Day is a wedding planning & decoration business that is based in Northwest Ohio. I am proud to say that we have won the “Best of The Knot” award 15 years in a row and just won the “Best of Toledo” award for wedding planning.
