Exploring Life & Business with Anita Boutros of Reagle Beagle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anita Boutros.

Anita, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The Reagle Beagle (a men salon for men) was established on June 4, 2004. I started off going to college for broadcasting but then decided to go to cosmetology school because i wanted to be more hands on and interact more with every day people. I am married and have 2 wonderful children.
I graduated from cosmetology school March of 2004 and started at the Reagle Beagle the first day the doors opened for business on June 4, 2004.. I worked as a stylist but then shortly after learning the business
I purchased the Reagle Beagle on March 22, 2011 from the previous owners.. I completely remodeled the entire salon and added 2 more stylist rooms to the 4 we already had, purchased a license to serve beer at our bar, and hired 11 more employees with us having 15 total employees. I also added new services to our menu and put up a stand up tanning bed, waxing room for body waxing and added manicure stations. I wanted to have the concept of being a full service men’s salon with all different types of services and not just be a ordinary barbershop. Our client numbers went from around 30 some clients per day back when I took over to 60 to 80 clients per day with 3 to 6 new clients per day on average with us continuing to grow. Lots of clients have been coming to us since 2004 and are very loyal to us. We have 6 individual rooms where clients can relax while getting a haircut, or any other service in there own private room. I separated each of the rooms so that the client has 100% full attention from their stylist. I wanted the client to feel comfortable and not embarrassed about being out in the open in front of others while getting hair color put on, highlights and eyebrow waxing. We are famous for our “Boss cut ” which consists of getting a detailed haircut with a hot lather neck shave, a mini facial massage, hot lava stone neck massage, an invigorating shampoo, and a mentholated scalp massage while hot steamed towels are wrapped around the face completed with a blowdry and style. This is a very relaxing haircut and takes 1 hour. The men love to get pampered by us.. We have young kids that come to us for there first haircut that are our continued clients now for almost 21 years. We have a huge book of business from all ages of 1 years old to our oldest of 97 years old. I even have clients that drive in all the way from Columbus, Ohio and that fly in all the way from California, Florida and Texas and many more differant states whenever they come to town on business or pleasure. These clients are not just clients. They have become friends and family to us. My 2 managers Rachel Klemola and Jordan Russell have been working with me as a stylist/manager for 20 years now. We have such a wonderful team working at the Reagle Beagle and We continue to grow in numbers. I set my salon up to possibly franchise in the future and trademarked our name and logo. The Reagle Beagle name comes from the 70s show Three’s Company. On the show they would meet at the bar the “Reagle Beagle “. This is why we added the bar and serve over 35 beers from different local and out of state breweries . We have 9 tv’s where they can drink their favorite beer and watch a live sports game. The environment and team that we have is Amazing! Our hours are Monday-Friday 10 am -8:30 pm and Saturday’s 9 am -5pm and closed on Sunday’s to relax with our families. We offer and sell over 40 different hair and skin products such as beard oils, skin care products and all different types hair and styling products. We use Vagaro for online booking and sell gift cards.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I learned alot from the previous owner and didn’t want to make any mistakes when I took over. Some of the struggles were hiring good talent. I wanted to make sure they were a good stylist and helped them train. Covid was the biggest struggle for me because we were shut down mandatory for 8 weeks with no business but had to still pay all the bills while being closed. This was probably the worst time for me while having my business. Once opened, we were right back at it at full capacity.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Reagle Beagle ?
The Reagle Beagle is an all male salon. We specialize in precision haircuts and coloring. We are known for our famous Boss Cut. What sets us apart is we have private rooms and a bar to relax and drink a beer while waiting for their haircut. What I’m most proud of is the brand culture we’ve created. From day one, I wanted the salon to be more than just a place to get a haircut—it had to feel like an experience. We’ve built a strong identity around modern masculinity: clean design, great music, grooming services beyond the basics, and a sense of community. Our clients don’t just come in for a fade—they come in to relax, connect, and walk out feeling confident. Seeing repeat clients bring in friends, and hearing that they feel at home here, tells me we’ve built something that resonates beyond just looks.

We want readers to know that our salon isn’t just about haircuts—it’s about the full grooming experience tailored for today’s modern man. From precision cuts and hot towel shaves to beard sculpting and scalp treatments, we offer premium services in a relaxed, stylish environment. Our team is trained in the latest techniques and trends, and we focus on quality, consistency, and customer care. Whether you’re coming in for a quick cleanup or a full transformation, you’ll leave feeling sharp, confident, and refreshed.
