Destiny of Columbus on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Destiny and have shared our conversation below.

Destiny, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of the things I’ve been building quietly… my discipline, my healing, my confidence, and my patience. I’ve been teaching myself to show up even on the days I didn’t feel like it, to let go of things that used to hurt me, to believe in myself without needing reassurance, and to wait without getting frustrated. It changed me.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Destiny, owner of Pretty Intoxicologist 🍹✨ From custom cocktails and crafted mocktails to charcuterie, dessert bars, and more, I elevate every event with presentation, passion, and pure confidence.
What sets me apart is the energy I bring and the detail I pour into everything I touch. I create flavors, vibes, and moments people remember. Whether it’s a signature drink, a curated spread, or a full-service setup, I make sure every guest feels the quality, the creativity, and the intention behind my work.
This isn’t just a mobile bar — it’s an unforgettable experience designed to satisfy, impress, and inspire!!

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Before I could see my own potential, my best friend did. Through every challenge and every triumph, he believed in me, lifted me up, and still stands as my biggest supporter.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most in life is rejection. It made me second-guess myself, hesitate to pursue opportunities, and question whether I was truly capable. But over time, I’ve learned that rejection isn’t a reflection of my worth… it’s just part of the journey. Facing it has taught me resilience, strengthened my confidence, and pushed me to keep creating, dreaming, and stepping into my full potential.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely! I’m 100% me!!!!! NO filters, no faking. I’m confident, authentic, and unapologetically myself, and that’s exactly why people vibe with me and love me.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
When it comes to my business, I would regret not giving it my all. I’ve learned not to worry about friends or family not supporting me, because at the end of the day, my audience will show up, strangers become your biggest supporters, and will always support no matter what.
