Daily Inspiration: Meet Wyatt Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wyatt Moore.

Hi Wyatt, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was twenty-one years old. I have always known I wanted to be an entrepreneur. I had just dropped out of college and didn’t know what I wanted to do. I began buy, sell, trading numerous different types of products to make extra money while I also served tables. It was while I was serving tables at Montgomery Inn that I served a party of insurance agents that worked for State Farm. After the meeting ended, I went to the person who ran the meeting and told them I was looking for a sales opportunity. It only took a couple months before he connected me with a local agent who was in need. I worked for him and another agent over a four-year period before opening my own agency with a close friend as a 50/50 partner. Kyler-Moore Insurance Agency opened its doors on March 1st, 2017 with the goal of becoming the premier insurance broker for real estate professionals and their clients. We are now one of the fastest-growing agencies in the state with several thousand clients that we manage, and several dozen referral partners that provide us the business. We just ended 2021 as the #1 Progressive agency in the State of Ohio (#24 in country). Going from a one room office, [just my partner and me] starting from zero to now having seven of us in a much bigger office with thousands of clients in just a five-year period has been incredible. We look forward to continued growth. In addition to the insurance agency. In June of 2021, I partnered with two other close friends to open a Jersey Mikes franchise. When we bought the store, it was still losing money, due to the fallout from Covid. In just a short six months we have turned our store into an incredibly profitable business that runs at the upmost efficiency. We will pay off our first location free and clear within nine months of owning it. We look to open two more locations within the next two years. I also do all of my own investing. Stocks, crypto, and real estate have all allowed me to grow myself financially quicker than I thought would be possible. I will turn 32 in March and I look forward to the future and believe there are many more opportunities to come.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. I would be shocked if any entrepreneur has had a smooth road. It feels as if there are constant challenges and barriers that attempt to slow or hold me back. Whether it was State Farm not willing to give me an opportunity so I had to create my own. The bank not willing to loan me money for the Jersey Mikes so we had to creatively find a way to finance. Huge ups and downs with investing. Problems on my real estate that cost me significant time and resources. It’s never been easy, but it’s always been worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I wear many hats. I think if I had to say what I am known for and what I am most proud of. It’s the relationships I build with people and how I treat others. I am always looking for ways to help other people. I truly believe the way the universe treats me is based on how I treat other people. It’s with kindness, empathy, and an unwavering willingness to sacrifice for others that have allowed me to form relationships with referral partners and clients that are based on trust and ethical behavior.

I practice what I preach and preach what I practice.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I could sit here for an hour and I wouldn’t be able to thank all the people that helped get me here.

First and foremost, I have to thank my wife, Emma Moore. She has been a rock of support for me from day one. It’s her unwavering love and support that gave me the courage to take on all that I have. When you have unconditional love there is nothing that can stop you.

I have to Thank Kevin Kyler my business partner with the Insurance Agency. We have been on a mission together since 2014 when we both worked at State Farm together to now chasing our dream of growing this Agency.

I also have to thank John Yonas and Louis Breeden of American Homeland Title. They have been the closest thing I’ve had to a mentor during these last five years. They also opened many doors that probably would have been very difficult to open without them. I cannot thank them enough.

I also have to thank all of our referral partners who trust us to provide their clients great business. I also have to thank our employees.

With the Jersey Mikes, I have to thank my partners Brandon Bradley and Michael Runge. They are the reason we are successful and deserve a bulk of the credit for our success.
