Today we’d like to introduce you to Taleezia Wallace.
Hi Taleezia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From as far back as I can remember I have always been a picture person. I love being in front of the camera as well as taking the absolutely best photos of my close ones. It was in 2019 that I actually decided to pick up a photography camera and take my passion to new levels. When I first started out, I was doing photos of my friends and family to build a strong portfolio but quickly I began to receive paid inquiries. Within the first year, I found myself creating home studios with backdrop equipment to execute visions for my clients until I discovered studios to rent out to better assist my clients. Today I typically shoot at a local studio in Pickerington, OH but my ultimate goal is to own my very own so that clients can have a true experience with Loveleelenses!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
A smooth road? Absolutely not! The hardest struggle I came across was when covid hit. Being in this industry where person-to-person contact is the only way to complete the job caused things to slow down and my drive to keep going decreased. I found myself losing the desire to create having a creativity block honestly and I wasn’t pushing out new content despite covid because my ideal audience were people. Since the restrictions behind covid has seemingly decreased I’ve been able to get my momentum back and clients have been pouring in but I do have my times where I feel defeated because I want to be so much further than where I am in my photography career.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Professional photographer in the Columbus area (willing to travel) who specializes in portrait photography, children, and maternity. I am most known for photos of mother and their children or that’s the most common client I received and enjoy as I am a mother as well. My most proud moment is seeing the reaction to those after a session with me as well as having returning clients. Individuals coming back to me after a session rather its months to a year later shows me that my work speaks for itself. What sets me apart from others is that when you book a session with me you will have a true EXPERIENCE. I have been complimented many many times about my energy, personality, and how much fun clients have when we have a session together and that is extremely important to me!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
What I learned during the Covid-19 crisis is that you have to think outside of the box. When it comes to this field of work you have to really get creative because life doesn’t stop and photography is needed everywhere. Everything on the internet requires a photo for the most part so I learned that I can take photos of anything not just of people to still generate income and experience for myself.
