Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddy Bermejo

Hi Maddy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I opened my salon originally in Northwood in March of 2019, and we just opened our second location in downtown Toledo in May of 2023. Our Northwood location is staffed with nail techs, tattoo artists, and an aesthetician. Our downtown location has 7 hair stylists. We are a team of independent artists who full run their own business how they’d like inside of our supportive and inclusive team.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We had to endure the tough years on Covid while being a brand new business, and then after that opening our downtown location became a 2 year project with contractor and city construction delays.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I personally am a hairstylist who specializes in color and extensions on all hair types. Our salons as a whole specialize in a variety of things hair services, nails, aesthetics, and tattoos.

What matters most to you? Why?
Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests. I want everyone to leave feeling better physically and emotionally than when they came in.
