Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Jett Marquis Arnold
Kevin Jett, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Kevin: I am a risk taker & visionary who has tried many different hustles/businesses on the journey of finding my true purpose for life. Coming from a Blue Collar working family, I’ve always had the desire to be more & do more than any 9-5 could offer me. I’ve “walked the plank” countless times in my effort to maximize my potential in this life. Becoming an Event Planner/Host by the name Tekken3Vibes & creating this Central Ohio Creators Brand with Marquis has aligned me with my purpose more than ever & I’m focused on creating multiple platforms that my city can benefit from. My Sales, Brand Ambassador & Marketing background is what helped me make the huge strides towards getting to the point I’m at today.
Marquis: I’ve always had a passion for storytelling and being in front of a camera. From a young age, Ive been captivated by the power of words and their ability to connect with others on a profound level. At the age of ten, I began exploring the world of writing through the art of crafting raps and poetry, laying the foundation for a lifelong love affair with written expression. After years of honing this craft, l went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from The University of Arizona Global Campus.
We both went to the same high school together “Pickerington North HS” where we graduated in 2011. After years of growing in our own direction, an esports gaming event hosted by Tekken3Vibes at a local bar+arcade in the Old North brought us back together where the idea of the Central Ohio Creators Podcast was born. Fast Forward three months later, we’re already 4 episodes into our new show with so much value still left to give.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part it’s been a smooth ride, we have encountered some obstacles along the way such as financing the podcast & booking initial guests. Studio time & high quality editors aren’t cheap and business grants have been hard to come by. Getting our message out there wasn’t hard but early on getting guests to see the vision was a challenge. We’ve handled it well though building a nice bit of momentum & reach for ourselves since the first episode.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a Columbus Based Multimedia Marketing Brand who specialize in content marketing & raising brand/product awareness. We created a platform for Ohio Business Owners, Creators & Innovators to come & showcase their brands & product to the world via podcast. We are known for being a go-to Marketing outlet for all Ohio brands marketing campaigns. We are most proud of increasing our clients brand awareness to reach a wider audience thus generating more traffic & conversions for their products. What sets us apart from others is we are brand made by the people for the people of Ohio. Our entire business is about providing beneficial services to our guests to help their brands grow.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Some things we like best about Columbus, Ohio is the diversity because of all the different cultures that are here. Also, the rapid growth taking place in Columbus over the last 5-10 years is making it become a desirable destination where that used to not be the case.
Some things that we like least about the city is the dark cloud the city can have over it from negativity always being said about the city. There’s so many positive things going on in the city that drown out the negative, that should be everyone’s focus. Also, the lack of spokespersons vouching for the greatness in this city is something that needs to change as well.
